6 years ago I had to take my daughter to the hospital in Hanoi and I went to the French hospital and she just had some stomach issues but it cost us over 100 US dollars for the consultation and some medicine. Hopefully there are better alternatives now.

Thanks for your comment PG - hopefully all is well with your daughter! As Dr. Daniel Mitchell mentioned in the video - healthcare has come a long way in Vietnam over the last years!

100$? Lol thats a steal

@@AlexVergo764 last week I went to the People's hospital in Vietnam and it only cost me $35 for an x-ray and consultation. That's a steal. Depends what hospital you go to

Thank you for making this video! Really great insight in terms of healthcare expectations in Da Nang/Vietnam. Those dentistry prices are outstanding!

Thank you for the comment LiveLife! Vietnam is becoming a hotspot for dental tourism in the region - great dentists and very approachable prices

great job in this video but what you didnt cover is, we have health care in Canada that also carries travel insurance, will they honor it there?
@CentralVietnamRealty5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question Kevin - unfortunately this is ultimately a question for your insurance provider in Canada as they know all the details of your plan and coverage. Vietnamese health facilities will not be able to answer this question as it is up to your provider in Canada.

I would love to see more in depth videos relevant to older folks like this. Imagine people older than me moving to Danang! But there's one thing I'm trying to understand, the WEATHER. Is living in Vietnam like living in a sauna, forcing people to spend most of their time indoors with air conditioning??

Thanks for the video. I am from US, what are the health insurances (local/international) these hospital accepted and how much they typically cost per month? Thanks.
@CentralVietnamRealty11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment BT - In order to receive the full list of accepted, we would need to know which hospital in Da Nang you are most interested in. There are several insurance companies recommended in the video

Great video Is it wise to get health insurance in Australia first . Or can I buy recommended public Vietnamese health insurance on line .😊
@CentralVietnamRealty11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment Eileen! We do recommend an international health insurance plan that covers you in VN as well as other locations. As Dr. Daniel Mitchell recommends, something with the ability to relocate you in case of serious emergencies.

There must be a health implication of living in a country that seems to resemble living in a sauna! Hiw do people do it?!
@thumtlnguyen36268 ай бұрын
When you're born in a sauna place you got used to it. The same thing for people living in coldest place on earth in Russia with average -40 C degrees.
