Such an amazing recipe, these bars are so much more than "just" breakfast, the perfect snack for school, a day on the road etc. I've made these several times now and played around with the original recipe for a bit, added some figs along with the dates, sprinkled a hand full of flaked almonds over the top, it's all good. Thanks a lot Susan Jane, Breakfast on the go has become so much better for me!

Its fucking sick how many negative comments are always on this lovely inspiring passionate chefs video. If you don't like it, don't watch. Take a hint she's still here making videos because the rest of the team think she's worth it, so take your rude pathetic comments elsewhere. On another note as always lovely to see you in a video again, very passionate and inspirational. I hope your having a great day and these trolls and haters don't get you down, they don't know what their missing ;)

Her aesthetic style and accent are very reminiscent of 1940s American upper-middle class. During that time period, posh society in the New England region of the U.S. had British-American hybrid accents. I think that's what she's going for--that vintage posh image.

I made these (by accident) without banana today, and they turned out fine, although i do prefer them with banana. 3rd batch made, popular with my family. I like to swap some of the nuts around and dried fruits, as long as you keep to the measurements and the low heat they always come out fine!

Ok made em! Super good. I followed the recipe more or less but just added in some chopped dried apricots & some orange zest. Really good so far - tried them warm because I couldn't wait... They crumbled apart but I think they will hold together fine once cooled. The house smells amazing now from the spices baking!

+Courtney McFarland Good one! Yes - stick them in the fridge. They are mind blowingly good ;)
@courtneymcfarland83339 жыл бұрын
I actually cut them into squares & stored them in the freezer in a Tupperware with parchment paper to keep them from sticking to each other- then just take one out whenever I want one & reheat it quickly in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. They're really good warm and make a good breakfast or snack :)
