Why didn't you guys soak the dates in some hot water for 10-15mn?
@Jo-hr3fy8 жыл бұрын
I love making these and variations of, by changing up the nut combinations etc. Hazelnut and pecans work so well too. So quick and easy, a great recipe for children to make. My kids and I roll ours into bite size balls and then into dessicated coconut or seeds. Perfect sweet treat for school lunchboxes. Their friends are always envious! Thanks guys, your recipes are so accessible and your enthusiasm for food and dedication to your passion are a joy to witness.

Rolling this mixture into balls is a Great. Idea . Slices would crumble or do the slices Stick when they are allowed to rest for about an hour . Or, are they still crumbly . ? Your Idea to roll, then into seeds. Sounds. Really. Good . I will try them soon anyway . .( From IRELAND. 🥰🥰☘️☘️☘️🥰🥰)

That's not a brownie that's a slice . I understand the vegan way and I like it but treats call things exactly what they are and that's a nut slice xoxox job though

Yeah just to come in here, I inadvertently put in a bit too much cacao and it does have that brownie 'texture' very nice.

Your videos are so entertaining lol. I LOVE sweets! I ate some almond date rolls the other day that I picked up from my local supermarket. They were delicious, but expensive so I look forward to trying this recipe at home! Here in Texas it is very hot so not having to turn the oven on and bake a dessert is AMAZING!

Are raisins or tamarinds ok as substitutes for the dates? I live in Thailand and dates are super expensive, tamarind is very common here so is much much cheaper!

What kind or brand of cocoa do you use. I have heard from my child's doctor that cocoa has lead in it. It's a scary thought I would be making healthy desserts with a powder that was hurting my family. Suggestions please. Would buying raw organic help in any way instead of store bought?

Thankyou you for talking about your beliefs on labelling yourself in your first q and a ! ! I was never able to go FULLY vegan ! I just couldn't ! Sometimes there was no vegan options and I can't sacrifice myself and go hungry ! I fully accept that veganism is incredibly humane and that animas deserve to live not to be killed so i would never CHOOSE to eat something non vegan ! But because from time to time I have no choice but to eat something non vegan...I'm not going to label myself "vegan" but I still support animal rights as much as anybody else does !
