In this episode of Nutrition with Lorelei I will explain how to make your holidays healthier with festive cocktails full of nutrient-dense ingredients. I'll show you two sugar free drinks you can make at home using whole foods and liquor. Enjoy your healthy holiday cocktails responsibly!
HEALTHY COCKTAIL RECIPES:
Boozy Pumpkin Shake:
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 frozen banana
2 dates (soak in vodka or almond milk for better blending)
1 shot vodka (or more if desired)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cinnamon
dash or two of nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cloves to taste
Make 1 large serving, or 2 medium sized
Cranberry Slush:
1 pound bag of fresh cranberries cooked in 1 cup water
2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
1/2 cup 100% cranberry juice (not from concentrate)
1/2 cup rum (or more if desired)
blend all ingredients and then freeze until slushy
Scoop out some of the frozen mix and top with:
diet 7-Up or Sprite
makes 4 large servings, or multiple small, punch glass sized servings
