Important note I neglected to clarify: the purpose of this method is not to teach you to count breaths forever, but to prepare your body and mind for eating and learn appropriate pacing.

Excellent!!! Tried it at lunch and dinner yesterday and I ate my meal in double the time that I used too, without feeling bloated and with no arrythmias! Will keep doing this method, it's life saver for those of us who are used to eating fast and are hiatal hernia/gerd sufferers!!

Different foods have different digestibility, interact differently with our gut microbiota, and stimulate various reactions in our gut and metabolism. Even combining different fruits can be problematic, let alone eating the standard burger or hotdog (meat, grain, dairy, veggie... all in one bite).

@@vndrevlves thank you!!! I tend to mix everything together and barely chew. I suffered from diverticulitis ten years ago at 30 and no one ever mentioned slowing down and fully chewing OR how different foods digest different. We are set up for failure when it comes to the"food pyramid" etc

@Kei Hey bro 👋🏼 I've literally had conversations about this with tens of people in KZbin comments section since the pandemic started. I wanna think I'm better now but some days I feel the same way I did a year ago. Yea I've been having GERD and IBS for a year now. In 2019 I was feeling badass I used to lift I used to party. Since 2020 I am alone and ill physically and mentally. Really wasn't expecting any of this. I'm trying hard everyday to get better. Walking after meals, meditating, deep breathing. Best advice I'd give is, try to turn off the feedback loop. You know the feeling bad about the fact that you're feeling bad 😅 See you on the other side of things 😇🙏🏼 Sharing positive energy ♥️♥️♥️

But nothing ever happened, I'm still alive, breathing. Earlier I couldn't hold my breath for 2 seconds. But now my lung capacity has improved a lot with breathing exercises... Not drinking cold drinks, or anything while eating this will put squash the fire in the belly responsible for digesting. A balanced vegan diet. Kelp along with other bitter foods. Probiotics are just as important as probiotics. Hot teas. Fasting and alkaline water. More importantly a service dog. He lays close to me with his healthy charged system and mine will sync up with his.

Interesting! Can you elaborate on how posture affects digestion? I feel like I can't relax my upper body when eating. And I often feel like I'm physically very full, even though I haven't eaten that much. I'm pretty lean, so it's not exactly overeating. I often feel like I can't eat enough and have low energy.

This is great information, thanks. I'ver had GERD for a long time, and now I get early satiety. I can't eat as much at one sitting as I used to. If I do eat until I'm full, it feels like it takes up to 8 hours to digest. I'm hoping these breathing exercises will help.

I have have had severe reflux for about 5 years. I usually regurgitate in my mouth anywhere from 20-50 times a day, but over the past week it’s gone up. It is also becoming a little harder to breathe. Almost like I have a lump stuck in my throat behind my Adam’s apple. I have had two endoscopes and have been on several prescription medications for reflux but nothing has worked. I have tried special diets and exercise, but I am worried that I will never get over this. If you have any advice I would love to hear it.

Just stated happening to me for a few months now. Cigarettes jade a big trigger for it before or after a food which after a meal, smoking a cigarette has been second nature to me for years but! I had esophageal surgery and my esophagus was perforated. They inserted a chest tube and a stent. Somehow I swallowed the stent and when they removed it, the valve was damaged. Now food comes up if I bend over even slightly after eating. I eat smaller meals now and can only sleep on my left side. I'm down to two meals a day and a snack or two. It's been months and I am still having issues. Someone told me it is possible to reset the valve but they didn't know how. Do you?

Chewing bishops seed(ajwain) at night and drinking water helped me control acid reflux in the morning. Along with this breathing exercise just before sleeping helps. In the morning I again do breathing exercise and few stretching exercises. Drinking cumin water ( boil 2 teaspoons of cumin in water and strain it) twice a day helps.

I had this and some other chronic diseases like ibs for a a few years 2017-2020 and around the last six months they just all went away or at least had a 80-90% reduction in symptoms. I really have no clue what caused this to happen as it didn’t seem to correlate too heavily with any lifestyle changes, the only thing I could think of is that I quit smoking weed around that time.
