I am making potato leek soup tonight. Wednesday is stuffed acorn squash with stuffing mix, apples, and sausage. Friday is broccoli cheese casserole and chicken. I only usually cook 3 times a week and on Sunday.

During a week signed off work, i found your channel, thank you for keeping me off Netflix and inspiring me to make some delicious healthy meals. Like you i grow my own and here in the UK we are approaching growing season, an exciting time of the year. With your brocoli stalks do you ever cut them up and use them in your cooking? So many nutrients and like you i lkle the tenderstem brocoli, so much more flavour. Once again thanks for saving me from boredom whilst i am resting up.

I am new to your channel, and I am so glad I found you on KZbin!! I am a vegan, but my husband and teenage sons are not, so the variety in your recipes is so perfect for my family. I went to the grocery store today to get the ingredients to make your soup. Tomorrow morning I will start with the homemade broth in my slow cooker---so excited to make it!! I also have a sourdough starter and absolutely love making sourdough recipes =)

So happy I found your channel. Orthodox Christian also! Growing zone 5. Made mostly traditional greek fasting recipes this week. Green beans and potatoes, artichokes and peas, roasted veggies with orzo. Oh... and I took out an octopus from the freezer. Will stew it in red wine and orange peel. Also been munching on a fasting chocolate cake when my sweet tooth hits me. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and blessed Advent!

I’m dehydrating apples, cranberries (for Craisins) pineapple, etc. for gifting….my SIL is diabetic and it’s healthier for him without added sugar…..he’s not getting the Craisins! LOL I’m also dehydrating things to make simmering potpourri for gifts. Oranges too. Too much to do! I need to go get on the apples. Just got a new peeler, corer and slicer gadget and can’t wait to use it to cut down time! Then use the apple scraps for ACV. Nothing wasted and the leftover skins and cores go into the compost. ❤ I’m so glad you used the turnip greens! My favorite! Dice the turnips and cook with the greens and some ham hocks or country ham…..drizzle with ACV! Great video!! ❤
@healthyelizabeth11 ай бұрын
LOVE it!! Such I cute idea. We dehydrate blood orange slices and string them on twine for our Christmas tree. When the lights hit it almost looks like stained glass.🎄 I need to try my hand at the homemade ACV too! That’s my favorite way to eat turnip greens, southern style with a splash of vinegar is so good 🤤
@debichats863411 ай бұрын
@@healthyelizabeth ACV is so easy! The first I made I kind of messed up….and I also used Granny Smith apples….bad choice I think….now I’m using apples with red skin and they are bubbling like mad! I’ve learned that I LOVE fermenting! Too much fun! ❤️

Did you post the cookie recipe to your website? These look great. I was literally going to ask you if you could post a video making einkorn flour Christmas cookies. I’m GF and have been having so much luck with einkorn. No symptoms AT ALL. I’ve made the bread, the pancakes and the pizza dough that you make. They have been fabulous. That soup looks amazing!! I can't wait to buy a house with enough land to have a big green house. I love the idea of the healthy cookies but I am not a fan of molasses. Is there a way I could make a similar cookie using Cacao powder for the superfood benefits? My family likes that much better than molasses haha
@healthyelizabeth11 ай бұрын
I was determined to make my greenhouse fit in my backyard 😂. You could probably swap the molasses for maple syrup and add a couple tablespoons of raw cocoa! Now I’m gonna have to test that out 😋

Love your videos and cooking skills and all the recipes! But when I watch, I’m always like oh no take off the nice sweater and put on something like a hoodie to not get the sweater stained or dirty! This is coming from someone who only cooks in disposable t shirts type of person. I basically put on clothes to cook in that I don’t want to ruin in pasta sauce oil or smell like onion and garlic when I’m done. Going to make a couple of these- thank you!
