This was everyrhing! I messed up a shipping order and my customer was asked to pay the difference! It was embarrassing. I ended up paying the difference to give my customer a good experience. Etsy really needs to "uncomplicate" their shipping. This is like a "Masterclass" for Etsy shipping. Thank you for making this tutorial-Very easy to follow 🙂

Shaun. Thanks for a very helpful video. I was struggling trying to get a shipping label on my first sale. Come to find out there was an email from etsy saying "We wanted to let you know that you have a pending sale of 1 item. We're still processing your order and will follow up with a confirmation email as soon as this is complete. Most orders process within 72 hours, although they may occasionally take longer. Please do not ship this order until it has finished processing. I guess etsy goes through processing each order as they have said?? I looked all over in etsy help and forums and did not find this. Now I guess I know. thanks again.

Hi Shawn. I’m 2024 your video is still so informative! Oh my goodness. You answered everything! I’m kinda new selling on Etsy. I wasn’t going to do international because I didn’t know how the heck to do it But Now it’s easy peasy! I have to review the part about you using ship station. I know you are using it across a couple selling platforms but is it less money (fees or rates)? As of 10/21/2024 Etsy will phase out allowing third party shipping methods. But if you already have them you can still use them. I’m wondering should I do third party before it’s too late? Also are you selling the same items in your Shopify shop? I was thinking of using different platforms as well.

@@ksaletta Hi! I’m so happy the video was helpful. The rates in ShipStation are pretty close to the rates in Etsy. I try to use Etsy now as much as possible because of their Seller Protection. This helps when USPS doesn’t deliver a shipment. Etsy will refund the buyer and you don’t have to. I do sell many of the same items on both Etsy and Shopify. That way I know if I send people to Shopify they’ll have the same list of items as if they were shopping on Etsy.

Hi Shannon, you will need to enter an address. It is required for the shipping labels. Using your home address isn't safe. Can you think of any other address you can legally use?
