The sight of those two playing together in a studio gives me chills

Love that they've got the Somewhere in Time tone going

They were the rhythm guitar, along with Vivian Campbell, for most of the song though.

This solo is in the song! Listen closely when they are singing "we're stars". You can hear it in the background :)

Interesting choice of guitars there. Dave with an Ibanez Roadstar II, and Adrian with an Aria Pro II.

probably just extra guitars that were laying around.

@@randallfloyd4476 Dave's looks like the Steve Lukather model, so a really good guitar if it is.
@holliskeith15713 жыл бұрын
@@surfdigby Yeah it is a great guitar. They had the Steve Lukather and then the Roadstar II that was just like it. I have a Red one just like this one. I have seen an Ibanez add with Dave and this guitar but never actually seen him play one before.

Probably since they were in the middle of the Powerslave Tour and just flew in themselves without their equipment to record their section of the song.
@FHMC133 жыл бұрын
It is Ibanez Roadstar II, and it is the Dave's guitar. He used it several times during gigs in the 83 and 84/85 tours.

Of all the shredding moments and stellar vocals from many of my favorite vocalists back then (Geoff Tate and Don Dokken), this guitar portion haunts.

Dave Murray & adrian Smith should´ve had more play-time! These guys could easily have given both Yngwie, Lynch and Schon some competition 🔥 But Maiden were finishing the World Savery Tour, so they only had time to do this brief harmony

Mickey Holm Love these guys to death, but with all due respect, I don't think they could've given Yngwie competition even when he was 18.

+Archer 250 Maybe not on a technical level, but Iron Maiden is still making great albums and touring while Yngwie maintains just a niche audience.
