Hear the music, feel the speed! CR 56087 screams through Preston Station 08/10/13

With a scream that shook the rafters of Preston Station's roof, Colas Rail owned Class 56, 56087, opens up her throttles as she accelerates away from a yellow light whilst working the Carlisle to Chirk loaded log train.
Even with 19 fully loaded logflats behind it, the mighty Paxman Ruston Engine had no problem speeding away! Crank up the volume and feel your ears rumble to a pure scream from the 1970s!

There certainly aren't as many 56s as Preston as there was, but this runs every other day, although most log trains avoid Preston on the S&C and Backline :)

+Martindyna Those are TOPS coded 'IWA'. They have a gross weight of 90 tonnes but I doubt they weigh that much loaded with timber, assuming about 80 ish ton per wagon, 1500 tonnes give or take.
