Here in the Motherland, Africa we speak many languages fluently. For example, English is my third language and first European language. I have since studied Romance Languages, other Germanic languages and currently learning an Eastern Slavic language. My first two languages are my native languages so I'm a polyglot. Learning new languages are for me a way of acquiring different kinds of brain in one head. The heart of the process is not just acquiring and fine-tuning the brain to adopt a new register of words and word orders but to be able to think in that language. At that very moment you become the version of you that could have existed had you been a native speaker of that language. So there are lots of us here on the continent with similar feats of strength. It is very common here.

When he is defending his country's interests he uses Russian, because he doesn't want the people to understand, he wants other nations to respect his wishes, and reply accordingly.
