Sound of IQbuds MAX is not robotic at all, but getting a secure fit is super important. The way you're demonstrating you put the earbuds in at the 4:15 mark appears to show them (maybe) upside-down for starters, and not at all "locked in" to your ears. Starting with them upright in your ears, then twisting them back towards the back of your head at about a 10-15 degree angle locks them in for a proper seal. I tried for weeks and finally gave me. Maybe my loss is too high but the airpod pros seem to work a lot better and are more comfortable too. But I did think the Nuhears were really good for music.

Unless they (AirPods) keep falling out your ear or constantly losing its seal😁. That’s why I use the Nuheara with my iPhone.

Hey Mark, thanks for this nice review, the comparison was helpful. One question though, if one has single sided deafness, does the Nuheara act like a cross hearing aid ? I ean casting the sound captured from deaf side ear device to the other one? Let me know if its not clear enough. Thx.

Another great video from you. I had the Nuheara for a while. They are a frustrating company to deal with and kept delaying shipment. Then the first pair was dead out of the box. I found them to be pretty good for music but not that good as hearing aids. Lots of occlusal effect too and sharp noise from the kitchen in my house. The ipod pros are a lot better, surprising, so all the those controls really don't make that much difference in my opinion. I found I could put a control for "hearing" to get to the earbud volume, balance and brightness quickly but the window will not stay scrolled so that I can't modify the brightness slider. I also wanted to be able to toggle from Audiogram to balanced tone since audiogram is very noisy outside. But can't figure that one out. I don't know why Apple didn't just put all of this in the earbud control instead of just the noise reduction switch and transparency. They should all be accessible in one simple icon but that's apple for you I guess. Not that user friendly for a new user. Thanks again.

I have tinnitus and apple AirPods worstened my symptoms while nuheara didn’t. I’m a producer and have spent tens of thousands of hours practicing and working in the industry. Nuheara has far better sound. AirPods are more comfortable and sound excellent for what they are but are very mid heavy. AirPods are more bang for your buck for the average person and they were my first choice but nuheara just kills it for my tinnitus. No flair ups after use.

Interesting review and new scriber as a result. I'm about to return my Nuheara Max buds. They just didn't work well for me, and the sound of my voice through them was very robotic. Customer service is also challenging given their location, and the fact that you have to make appointments in the evening if you're living in So Cal. I have mild hearing loss, did you find the pros isolated voices in a noisy environment well enough? Thanks! Dana

Hey Dana so sorry to hear the nuhearas haven't been working well enough for you. I definitely found the airpods sounded much less robotic than the iqbuds though. My hearing is pretty good so i found the isolation pretty good. Let me know how you go 😁

I agree with you and now have earpod pros too. I think the Nuhearas are a bit over hyped and I even had an out of box failure on my first set after waiting many months for them to ship...too frustrating dealing with them.

I regret buying the iqbuds max 2. They failed after just over a year and nuheara has washed their hands. The buds are now just expensive ladfill.

IQbuds 2 Max is in a league by their own! AirPods barely have any amplification!! Nuheara IQbuds 2 Max voted time magazine top 100 inventions of 2020. No even close! Nuheara IQbuds 2 Max have been a game changer for me. I hear in one ear only. Love mine so much I bought a second pair and I’m going to give my AirPod Pros away cause they basicly useless for anyone with hearing issues! This guy should be embarrassed about the lack of honesty of his review. Either a Total Apple Fanboy or needs to get his brain checked for sound processing problem. Not being mean . Are you a hedge funder ?You work for Apple?? People check the other reviews. Why is this voted top 100 inventions of 2020? My motivation is I am informing people of the truth about this product and how it has changed my life. Nuheara is a small company and there product is incredible and needs to be known. It actually helps people with hearing issues without spending thousands of dollars on hearing aids. Give me your proof Steve? Do you own both of them?
