Makes me wanna pull a Victoria and go for a run in the woods…. and I hate running. :) I feel like I can relate. When I was younger, I was sort of dealing with depression and my family was there to help and I guess in their eyes, they saw that I was getting better over time, but I didn't feel like I was.

I just realized something incredible. hearing damage means two things in this song. firstly it means, damage to your hearing, obviously. and secondly, you are hearing (damage). you hear something, your mind, your world, everything damaging beyond repair.

This kind of sounds like a person suffering from schizophrenia or dual personality disorder. Right from the beginning he is almost happy the "voices" are coming in. "You can do no wrong" might be the other personality consoling the primary personality. "They say your getting better" might be in reference to the clinicians trying to treat his sickness. Mixed with the deep electronic sound of slipping deeper and deeper into a mental abyss; amazing work of art.

I think this song as a reminder to everyone that we all have problems and voices that tell us good and bad. 'You can do no wrong" I think simply means you know the difference of what your doing is bad or good... I am a runner, and in a race I tell myself I can't do it and I should just give up but I don't because I have a drive to win! Like with life you need to find the drive to do great things.

"A tear in the membrane" It's hearing damage, not brain damage. The tympanic membrane is the ear drum. "Allows the voices in" A perforated ear drum can cause tinnitus, constant ringing in your head. I guess he's comparing the constant voices to 'mental' tinnitus. The voices don't shut up and can 'push you off the path' of sanity.

"Hearing Damage" by Thom Yorke. Radiohead vocalist Thom Yorke wrote an original song for the "New Moon Soundtrack." He created the song as a solo artist, and it has only been featured on the soundtrack. This is not the first time Thom Yorke's music has been featured in a "Twilight" movie because his band Radiohead's song "15 Step" played during the end credits of "Twilight."

All those amazed by this song and how it makes it us feel, is due to the frequency it’s using, all music and matter, for that matter(pun intended), radiates to slow vibration but this song.Tom yorke, created this at a frequency that goes above hearing and is at physics level,or frequency so we experience it as being far beyond hearing, but feeling. Genious I say genius. Perfect example,Beethoven being deaf but one of the greatest pianist of all time. Relied on vibration and frequency to experience his music. 100% insanely amazed.

Some reason I can imagine depressed person, who going through tough time. Everything he loved was slowly taken away fron him. Causing his life to fall apart. He starts to have mental breakdown. He started drinking to ease his pain. Since it wasnt enough. It was night time, he decides to drink and start driving thinking about crashing his car to kill himself. It starts raining as he drives in this dark narrow rode. Then as he kept going faster and faster knowing he getting close to ending his life. Something stopped him. From there he stops the car and just cries to sleep in his car only to reveal at the end it was a dream. But in reality he was thinking about running away from his problems but knew he would hurt people he loves doing that. Love is what only stopped him and thats what my imagination thinking about this song.
