Hearing Loss - before the implant

Four years ago I suffered sudden hearing loss (Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss - SSNHL), it is a mystery what caused it, some think it may be viral or that it could have multiple causes. As a birder, this has been quite frankly a major problem, and was initially quite devastating. Yet tomorrow I embark on a new journey, I will receive a Cochlear Implant! This set of videos is to teach about the process, document how it works for a birder such as myself, and hopefully help others in the process. This is my pre-operation video letting you know what life is like with single sided deafness.
