Ann's vocals are among the top tier of rock artists. Sister Nancy is a phenomenal acoustic guitar player. You seriously have to react to more Heart, including their actual live performances. Please react to Heart Crazy On You (live 1978). There are other live versions, but this one has the extended acoustic guitar intro from Nancy Wilson.

Thanks for your reaction. I would also recommend you to watch their induction ceremony at the rock'n'roll Hall of Fame from 2013 (or something), they're not in their prime, but you get to hear them talk and then they do a version of Crazy on you, they still rock even in their 60's. Ann and Nancy's Dad was one of our Language Arts teachers in Jr High School in '77-'78. We heard this album a lot. Always loved it. Edit: you always have to be careful talking about Audio and Live vs a Compilation edit on KZbin. KZbin videos are notorious about having bad Syncing.

Great reaction! This is actually the studio version set to a live video, the true live version with live audio is on YT as well, and it's just as good. Heart live is fantastic. My favorite live DVD of theirs is Live In Seattle from 2002. Every track is a 10/10. Looking forward to more, hopefully some from that DVD. It doesn't get nearly enough love from reactors.

@rayactions Early live video of Heart is a definite treat. The most glaring points was where they showed video of the guitar parts and he's clearly not playing what we're hearing. I'd recommend checking out this same video without the studio overdub here on KZbin. Either as a reaction or just on your own, so you can see how good live that were, even back then. I still can't stress/request reactions from the Live In Seattle enough. Peak Heart, imo.

Great reaction. You talk about how relaxed she looks, and people here talk about the live stuff being as good as the studio (regardless of this being a lip sync). Heart loved Led Zeppelin, and I wonder if their attitude about playing live was Zep-like in some way. Kind of we're good, and we're going to bring it live, we're not a juke box, we're really playing live and here it comes. It just seems like they had a lot confidence and a lot of capability too and they knew it.

Saw Heart in 1976 at Ohio State. My brother and I got 1st row center stage for $8.00 each ticket. This is their debut album, and the concert was awesome. Ann Wilson is still in my Top 5 for female singers. We went to many concerts with my bro, and over 150 concerts. 1 concert today is a whole week’s paycheck. Loved the great concerts from 1972 -1989 was the era for massive concerts ….. you have good taste…

I saw them during this Little Queen tour in a small open air amphitheater at San Diego State. It was a great show that opened with Nancy walking out on stage playing Sylvan's Song on a mandolin which continued into Dream of the Archer as the rest of the band including Nancy came on stage.

I was a teenager when this song came out living in western Canada close to Seattle I saw them grow as a band and saw them numerous times they sound just the same maybe better live which was rare for bands of that era. A great reaction thank you

This is for sure the studio version synched as best as it can be with this live performance. Somewhere out there is the actual audio that matches up with the performance and it sounds pretty darn close to the studio version. I've seen this clip before with the actual audio. It must exist somewhere.

Some one played the studio recording over this live. I've seen this same video with the matching audio. It's almost as good as the studio version, not sure why the switch. I saw them live in '75. They were the opening act at that time.

Well, there is in fact more than just one doubt. No place at your high table for the exquisite Karen Carpenter? What about Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick, Floor Jansen, Maria Callas, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Dame Joan Sutherland, etc, etc? There are female singers who have sold more records and drawn bigger crowds to concerts than Heart have. Your choices seem to be confined to the rock genre of the last 50 years.
