To be fair, why aren't ppl saying the same thing about the Rolling Stones who are in their 80s? I mean, I have never heard anyone say 'Wow!! It's crazy the Rolling Stones still play perform live when they're (insert 60s, 70s age here). It is a bit patronizing with that in mind, js.

@shadelings you're right , same thing with Aerosmith.. the difference for me is the music.. I think the level of difficulty between Heart and the Stones are night and day.. I've never been able to listen to the stones, as a musician it's hard to like a three chord rock band.. even though they have my respect, I've never bought one single album of theirs

I give Ann so much credit for doing Barracuda live at the Seattle game outdoors on cold day a couple of weeks ago at 73. 73! In the original key too. It wasn’t perfect but it was LIVE. That song is hard enough to sing at any age. PROS always deliver. Unlike most of the garbage popular today.

@mattfugate9 ай бұрын
Ann's definitely finding the workarounds and ways to get the spirit of the vocal across. It was really interesting to see her facial expressions after each particular line. It seemed like she was giving herself a mental "grade" at how it went. I was a little sad to see the moments when it seemed like she was disappointed in herself - that "I should have done better" look - but I also felt tremendous respect for her artistic discipline. She shouldn't have felt that way though - most performing artists lose a step as they get on in years, and sometimes it's enough to be able to still provide the broad strokes, so that the audience can keep making that connection with that particular artist. Nobody's ever going to be able to match Ann Wilson performing Crazy on You - even someone who can hit all the notes perfectly - because they're not Ann Wilson. If somebody came to you and said, "we're going to arrange your birthday party, including the entertainment. You can have either 2023 Heart with Nancy and Ann, neither of whom are able to do what they used to do at the same level, or a Heart cover band that is able to perform every song note-perfect," which would you choose?
@oldschoolgay8 ай бұрын

She was a monster. Ann talked to me between sets and she was so nice and so smart. She told me in 5 minutes, more about singing and my voice than anyone since. Ann has so much power that it has to be dialed down. She sings like the front line of the 1976 Raiders. You don't see it coming but then this wave of power in song. Ann Wilson. What a great band.

She sounds pretty dam good for 73. The only singer that sounds amazing in their 70's is Eric Clapton

The team that was responsible for stage lighting should never be employed again. Ann, Nancy, and the other band members look like horror monsters.

Ann is the all time greatest rock singer. But, this is sad and painful to watch. But, always more money to make from unsuspecting fans.

I was afraid Heart would be the next band to hang on too long. I don’t even think they can attempt “Alone” at this juncture. In-fighting and differences chewed up a lot of valuable time the last few years. It’s time.

It should be over. Hate it but this is blasphemy to their own body of work

Ann looks like Roseanne Barr now.

Always lovely, lovely ladies. And they will always be the best female rockers of all time IMHO.

She definitely sounds a hell of a lot better then some of those guy rockers from the 80s!

It's great to see the sisters rocking HEART the way it's meant to be rocked. The secret formula is back!

At 4:04 what broke? I thought it was a string at first but I don't know what that is

There are a few videos from the end of 2023 and they have stopped me buying tickets for the upcoming 2024 tour. Love the band, but Ann sounds absolutely terrible (for the first time ever), and it isn't clear if it is age or just a bout of illness. I will watch the videos from the summer tour and see if it was a brief illness, or the new normal for her voice.

I honestly think she should retire. I don’t wanna see Ann deteriorate on stage. It’s sad. Hope she sounds a bit better when she’s back on tour.

Vocals are pretty darn good , especially for a live performance. Impressive !!!

The wilson sisters are still a force to be reckoned with! Phenomenal harmonies, and talk about vocal range, try to hit some of the high harmonies. And Nancy is a helluve guitar player and doesnt seem to get wnough respect in that area in my opinion. The real dynamic duo!❤❤❤

And at their age they still kick ass!
