@@markgray6982 I saw the 78 tour and most of the tours since then. No, it wasn't that far from 70s Heart, but anyone thinking Ann is going to sound at 73 like she did at 30 is naive. The biggest difference between this and 70s Heart is Ann's voice is 40 years older and doesn't nail the high notes as well; otherwise it sounds like they always have. One other more minor difference is that in 78 Nancy played an acoustic on Barracuda which we could hear in certain spots and now they clearly don't have an acoustic playing along.

I was too young to see them during the Dog and Butterfly tour, but I've heard (and seen on video) that was the band's absolute best tour. The Largo 1978 concert on KZbin is pretty incredible. Of their 80s/90s big tours I thought the Bad Animals tour in 87 was the best they sounded. Wasn't crazy about their sound mix on the 1985, 1990, or 1994 tours but 1987 they got rid of some of the polish and sounded really heavy and distorted.

@@chrisacer6605Well, Ann and Nancy are the two long-standing members of the group and there have been some incredible musicians in the group over the years. Would it be great to see a reunion of the original, RRHoF lineup? Hell yes! But the musicians in this group are all insanely talented and been loyal to Ann and each other as a band for at least the last 3 years and seem to have clicked really well with Nancy as well. There have been 30 plus different members of Heart over the years. These guys are just the newest and some of the best ones. I will be catching this tour as many times as possible. I will not, as a life-long fan, take for granted that it could quite likely be the last. 🤘🏻

So cool and unusual to see older women play hard rock and still rocking like they do, I wish it was more common :)

One thing about Heart is they'd never do that. Even back in the day when they'd appear on shows where bands were told to lip sync Ann generally refused; they'd use an instrumental backing track to whatever song but Ann would sing live. I think the only time I ever saw them truly lip sync was on ToTP, but aside from that Ann usually sang live even if the band had to fake it.

Nancy, Ann... I was raised on the power of your rock and roll, im only 28, but that doesn't take away how much you two have impacted me. I still remember the day you two were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, I was 16 and my father and I wer so proud and happy. You inspire generations.

She's very careful about not pushing beyond her limits. She's much more restrained here than she used to be, but thats to be expected. Her voice has aged about as well as Rob Halford, probably a bit better because she didn't have major issues as far as I know (that can make a big difference).
@chrisacer6605
@chrisacer6605 10 ай бұрын
Agree. Up until 2019 she had lost absolutely nothing as far as range and power goes. It's obvious here she's lost some of that upper range, but at 73 after decades of belting it's impressive that she is still out there.
