1972, a new but dingy waterfront music club in New Westminster, Canada, on a blind date with the flower child who would soon become my wife ... and we were introduced to Heart in one of their first club performances. Stunning, mindblowing, incredible. And I remain a fan today, a century later.

Chris W, I am so glad you didn’t categorize her and say “the greatest Female voice in history” cause she is definitely up there with her male counterparts & deservingly so👏🏻👏🏻
@OCRay14 жыл бұрын
She’s definitely the best female rock vocalist and in the mix for best male or female but that’s extremely difficult to say overall just because of how many amazing voices there have been. For me it’s Steve Perry but I love Ann’s voice so much I wouldn’t argue too much.

Ann Wilson -- one of the great female rock singers. Scratch the "female" part, one of the great rock singers, period. Such a powerful voice... If you two like this song (and who doesn't?) be sure to check out their songs Magic Man, Little Queen and Barracuda. Such a great band...

The part that always gets me is in the final verse, when she adds some heat onto "with your sweet flowing LOVE", and you can just feel that emotion. Also, each verse, she has such a perfect, calm and sweet voice. Ann Wilson (left side of album cover) is definitely one of the best female rock singers ever. Nancy Wilson (her sister over on the right) is playing all the acoustic guitar - the Spanish-influenced bit at the beginning, and all the acoustic strumming throughout the song.

One of their greatest and most loved song by fans is "Nada One", sung by Nancy Wilson. However, there is no live recording of it anywhere. It is very obscure, but in my opinion, one of the greatest songs in terms of its wistfulness and magic. You should "react" to it:)

The beauty of this song is captured better in one of the live videos. As it shows Nancy's talent with regard to the acoustic guitar intro. As well, she has a great voice in her own right..perhaps try a song in which she sings lead. For instance, "These Dreams". Also, their Kennedy Center Honors performance of the Led Zeppelin classic, Stairway to Heaven is highly recommended.
@michaelbrowne5414 жыл бұрын
I agree with everyone's sentiments about ann Wilson having one of the best voices in rock and roll... Nancy's guitar playing in the open is awesome.. And I believe it's the drumming before the last verse That just doesn't seem possible without 2 drummers... You should check out their version of Led Zeppelin stairway to heaven at the Kennedy center live ...it's incredible. Especially having the surviving members of Led Zeppelin sitting there watching.

The acoustic intro is Nancy. The beginning is more bluesy than Spanish I'd say. You still need to check their performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also watch Chris Cornell's induction speech. BTW - Rush was also inducted on the same night.

Replace the word "crazy" with "down" and you will get the idea. I do not mean to be vulgar, and I am sure the Wilson sisters didn't mean to be vulgar. This song is about two people who found intimacy during a time of trouble. I love it.
