I had a perfect low risk for heart issues based on all the standard tests and labs. But I had chest pain. I read your book and went back to my cardiologist. After wearing a Holter monitor for a week he scheduled me for an angiogram. I had 70% blockage in my coronary artery!

What is your prognosis?

At the angiogram they put in a stent. Since April I have been in heart rehab (cardio) 2x a week. Joined a gym. Have lost 10 pounds, am off sugar and processed food. Chest pain is gone. So far no other problems. I see my cardiologist in 2 weeks.

@@mariehughey5390 amen to all that! My blood work is always good, I do not have chest pains to speak of, but at 46 now if like to see if I have plaque, I do have high cholesterol regardless of what I do.. cholesterol & heart issues seem to be hereditary in my father's family, I'd just like to stay ahead of that if I can 🤷 I'm glad you are feeling better! My cousin recently survived a Widowmaker heart attack.. he didn't know he was having one 👀 likely had two they say, he just thought he was sick or something.. that scares me some! 😬

It is so pathetic that we have to push hard for our own medical info and health in Canada. I’m also in BC and I have had to order all my own labs test through other means because Canadian medical just tells you “ nope you don’t qualify for test unless you dying and even then you have no say in which test” it’s so frustrating that the doctors work for the insurance company rather than the patient

@mrskittyhasattitude my doc said ins would pay for a continuous Glu Monitor, I sad I would pay for it and he still said he wouldn't put in a prescription ! I wasn't pre-diabetic. A later appointment with another doc she said I wasn't pre T2. I asked about #'s for pre T2, She said " oh I guess you are Pre T2" But primary and ins had to approve. They want you sick to warrant drugs for live.

What do the studies show when your fasting Insulin is low and HDL is high....when your Triglycerides/HDL ratio is 1..... Does APO B still measure risk of CAD?.....or is just a marker when one has insulin resistant vs insulin sensitive
