My favorite song, by the AMAZING Ann & Nancy Wilson, better known as my favorite band, Heart! What a sparkling, exuberant song. Ann's vocals are just beautiful, and look out at 2:27 for Nancy & Howard Leese's joyful & playful guitar "duel" on the grand staircase! I just love this...

Well this is Nick, and I just like to say, that heart still the best, their music is so intense I get chills everytime I listen to their music. Hopefuly they get as much energy as they had before to write more songs and perform them for many more years like they did before, cause some of this comments are very truht, I hate to say but today's music really blows!

The building in the video is the Bradbury Building in Downtown LA. It is a Hollywood favorite for Movie & Video shots. We had this building all to ourselves when we visited it in August 1980 around closing time. We took lots of pictures. 80'S R O C K !

Oh Shit-I have been looking for this vid forever! I was never a huge fan of Heart but I have always felt Ann Wilson had one of the best voices in music...ever! I saw this and...Wham...look at the drummer-Denny Carmassi ! OMG...he used to play with Ronnie Montrose and Sammy Hagar!!! (His first band?) This was both my fave vid and song that they ever did! Don't be mistaken though, there are still tons of great bands and musicians out there and they need our support! Or you can listen to rap...NOT!

nycboy31: This was THE best best album. The rest were great but his hit the mark. I still have all the old ones on wax. i've been a fan for along time. I actually contacted the lawyers to use Bad Animals Racing for my car when I use to drag race. Got an autographed picture back when I sent a photo of me winning an event. Wasn't a big a big event but still.....

I remember that VERY well, and never heard of 'extensions' then either, (until the mid/late 90's) not like the ones used nowadays, but they used hair 'pieces' or semi-wigs or other hair attachments to get that LENGHT. Check 'what about love' video, where Nancy's corkscrews reach her tailbone and look VERY 'synthetic'

They always admitted they had extensions back in the day,as part of the "costume" the record company demanded from them, as a visual strategy for better sales. check in Nancy the "Paris Hilton effect" (shorter hair all over the place)while Ann seems to be wearing a full wig...I even have seen Nancy with her real and not-so-thick shoulder lenght hair during her wedding in June 86'..(it would take about 4/5 years of hair growth to reach the dramatic lenghts featured in the videos of that era ;-)

I stand corrected - I honestly did'nt think that they were around then. I would have used them if they were. Although my hair was very long and thick at that time - the bigger the better ;)
@nycboy3116 жыл бұрын
Dont know how old you are, but during the mid 80's decade, hair like this was very common, the bigger, heavier, and wilder the better. U can Check videos of Cindy Lauper, Tina Turner, Pete Burns(Dead or alive), Chaka-kan, Janet Jackson, Lisa Dalbello, Patricia Morrison(Sisters of Mercy) Stacy Q, etc, all of them are clear examples, and all had a very similar look at some point between 84-87, while men used to have mostly "mullets". Hope that helps.

Boheamie - the 'big' hair was not extensions. I don't think that they were even around then! Everyone used lots and lots of backcombing and hard rock hairspray to hold everything in place - a can a night was not unusual. Sundays were spent nursing a hangover and trying to comb it all out with a wide tooth comb. Aahhhh those were the days!!!!!!!!!!!!

@thegarmanz Yes I want to go with you on the Time Machine back to like say 1983 or '84. Those were Great Times! Unlike today's society, when people have to watch movies on their Fuckin cell phones. I admit I have a cell phone, but it doesn't play movies, and I'm not getting one either. That's why I have a TV. I would trade my cell phone and Computer/Internet, etc. to go back to the 80's. In a heartbeat, without any hesitation.

I think you are being a little unfair with Heart. Of course, nobody disagrees that the 80s were not exactly a dramatic expression of quality, regarding rock music. AOR did a lot of damage, to many music acts (although I personally love it). But, you have to accept the fact that Heart's music back then, even by 80s standards, is the best that someone could find. Well written and produced pop/rock songs, with decent lyrics and awesome performances.
