This is actually one of my favorites from Heart & as much as I think Ann has an absolutely amazing voice, I really love Nancy’s voice too which is a bit softer & less powerful, but very compatible w/certain types of songs.

1990 flashback!!! What a feeling when you dont hear a song in over like 25 years but still know every word. They dont play this one on the radio now like some of their earlier ones. This is the one that made me know and loooove Heart. My 7 year old little self performed the heck out of this back in the day! So underrated and still my favorite Heart song.

Heart a classic example of why the 80s the best decade on the planet for music in my book, especially in terms of female rock music. The 80s totally rocked. Absolutely brilliant.

Agree -- but Heart's 70s output was even better. Heart had a lot of good music in the 80s and 90s but their best songs during that period were never released as singles. If you've never heard it I highly recommend putting on some headphones and listening to "Mistral Wind" off their Dog and Butterfly album. Kick back and close your eyes as that song starts off as a quiet breeze before exploding into a metal hurricane before winding back down to where it started. It's an 8 minute epic journey with some of the most incredible vocals and guitar riffs ever.

One of my top 10 favorite songs....I understand this song is about abandonment , breakup and separation and the grief that follows.....my wife died from cancer back in 2014 and I have been alone ever since till this day...every time I hear this it brings me to tears....such a beautiful song....just one of many that Heart has given us all

Additionally, that entire tune is behind the beat. Bass and percussion. That's what lends all the flavor. And, of course Nancy's voice.

"Stranded in Haiku"...I dreamt of an Island,...Amid sunlit shores and skies,...and woke to its morn! The Island is New York. Its shores of Bridges, Parks (Central), Windowed-Corrdiors of Concrete paths & dust-lined Stadiums are part of the rhythm and nights of its morn!...Love, "Never"! Love the Treasure to be found on an Island!...Peace & Love in Haiku!

God, this brings back memories of early morning strolls with my Walkman on when I was teenager. Bittersweet.
