Any good news is always good news (Jeez, the older I get, the more I sound like Yogi Berra). The ablation might be a good move. Mine basically fixed the problem. I’ve only had one hiccup since the ablation (they actually called me because I have an implanted loop monitor) and I was only on blood thinners for two months. Just make sure you document every time you feel faint, especially while you’re wearing the monitor. Insurance may require several instances of fainting/ arrhythmia in order to approve the loop monitor.

Justin, hope you feel better soon . I don’t do anything awake, knock me out, try it, it’s better than the pain and fear. I have a ICD in my chest, less fearful having it. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck

My first ablation wasn't under full anesthesia. they gave me something in an iv and I was supposed to sleep through the whole thing. When I woke up I was told they couldn't put me back to sleep as they would have to wait for the drugs to kick in, and they were already in my heart. They go through 3 of the 4 main arteries to get there and burn off the excess electrical path ways. So I just had to bear it. and when ever i groaned they told me I needed to stop moving as they were working in 10th's of a mm and when i made sound i moved and they had to reposition. That sucked so bad. I told the cardiologist that yesterday and he said that was over 20 years ok, technology has improved. We'll see what happens. Like i said if I have to do another ablation it would beat being on blood thinners and heart control meds for the rest of my life. Thanks for the prayers. I appreciate them greatly.

Justin, I understand what you're going thru. I have afib also and sleep apnea. Both led to my stroke in Dec 2019. Luckily it wasn't that bad and only have 2 minor effects from it. Can't stand hot or cold water on my hands and sometimes struggle speaking. I hope they figure out what's going on and I'll keep you in my thoughts.👍

Thanks Will. They are saying as long as I stay on the blood thinners I shouldn't have any stroke risk for now. I wear my CPAP religiously, I won't even nap without it. I just sleep so much better and feel actually rested with it. And I have to say this isn't as scary as the Wolfe Parkinsons White episode. It's just long and drawn out feeling.

Yessir! That's good! I'm the same way with my cpap and I'm on blood thinners and I'm also working on losing weight. I've lost nearly 80 lbs since last October and feel great. I'm using Mounjaro to help me.

I kinda know how you feel. I had a full on heart attack when I was 36 from cholesterol. I have two stents in my right side and one in my right side. My stupid body keeps all the bad cholesterol and gets rid of the good. So hope this works out good for you love your builds.
