While Stevens take away from Indirect Kiss was “I have healing spit!”, our take away was supposed to be more along the lines of Steven has healing kisses. Unlike Rose Quartz who healed other by empathizing with their pain, Steven heals others through an act of affection.

It turns out that their healing abilities are swapped. Rose could revive with kisses and heal with tears. Steven heals with kisses and revives with tears.

Ages are a bit tricky in this show, but consider the following. Lars is a teenager, Sadie's is the manager of the shop, so she's at least an adult, if not mid 20's. Yea, lars is acting like a kid, but guess what, he is, and him not returning Sadie's affection? Pretty reasonable, if you ask me. That being said, he does "grow up" throughout the show.
