Especially after the Third Mummy sequel disaster. Now knowing what you went through and weighing it against Hollywood’s hypocrisy and back stabbing seeing you really pulling out all the stops in your acting chops I’m very happy. You have a depth as an actor that is unusual in these days of blockbuster movies. People can be pretty short-sighted sometimes. The idea of criticizing Fraser for wearing a fat suit overlooks the fact that gaining an excessive amount of weight, especially in a short period of time, can be detrimental to one's health. In some cases, it causes irreversible damage. Case and point - Jared Leto's weight gain to play Mark David Chapman in Chapter 27. It's so rewarding to know that Brendan Fraser earned himself an academy award for The Whale. He deserves it, and I have been a fan of his for a very long time.
