I had an ultrasound with a specialist with my 4th only because they needed good picture of her face and they did a nuchal fold measurement, i had no idea they were doing all these tests, and it came back very abnormal and they also mentioned termination. I got a very reliable blood test for trisomy 13,18, and 21, and it came back totally normal, my daughter is 3 with no genetic abnormalities. She was born with a large fat pad on the back of the neck which went away by her 1st birthday, that’s all it was. I will pray for you and your baby and I hope you will find peace while going through this.

My first scan I had at 6 weeks they said I had a subchorionic hematoma (sorry for the bad spelling), the GP (doctor) didn’t even tell me I saw it on the referral letter to my obstetrician. I asked her and she said oh yeah you’ve got a large bleed next to the baby, it’s actually bigger than the baby so it’s a bit worrying. I was so upset, I had no idea what that even meant so I was called the midwife help line and she made me feel so much better! Said it’s so normal and it happens and yes like you said sometimes the body just absorbs it or sometimes you expel the blood. By my 9 week appointment with my obstetrician the hematoma had disappeared she didn’t even bring it up until I did & I went on to have a successful pregnancy with no issues whatsoever! Baby girl is 3 months old now :)

This video brings back some painful memories. We have been through the exact same thing. The CVS showed nothing, we where told it was just one of those things and sometimes a baby's Lymphatic System takes longer to mature. I spent five months being scanned by maternal medicine and everything looked pretty good but I just had this overwhelming feeling things where not. I gave birth to my son at 36 weeks, he was big for his gestation, he looked perfect but a little different to my other children but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. We had feeding issues and he would only drink from a certain teat. It turned out our so has a Cleft Palate, Bifid Uvula, a Congenital Heart Defect and Hypermobility amongst other things. We have had numerous genetic tests since birth but we still don't have an answer as of yet. He is known as a SWAN which means Syndrome with out a name. He is now two and he's turned into an amazing little boy, we love him beyond measure. We also have a daughter who is thirteen with Autism, Learning Difficulties and Global Delay. I wouldn't change them for the world. It will be okay and I just wish I could give you a hug and I could show you both my warriors to ease your worries. The hospital, well that's another story, they are lucky I haven't taken a law suit out on them for negligence. They didn't pick any of my son's defects up, not even on a baby check before going home! I had placenta previa and bled a ton at 12 weeks and thought I lost her. I was put on bedrest for 8 weeks. Baby was fine, that was the hardest 8 weeks ever especially with an 18 month old at home. Praying for you and your little bean. Have faith lady, we're all routing for you.

My scan showed a 1 in 14 risk for downs or turners syndrome which was extremely high. We went for a cvs but couldn’t have it because my bowel was obstructing the consultant’s view to had to go back for an amino at 14 weeks. Our daughter turned out to be absolutely fine and she is a beautiful, clever and confident 9 year old now x my prayers are with you at this very difficult and worrying time xxx

I had subcronic haemorrhage aswell in my last pregnancy and I was terrified the whole pregnancy. I had a severe bleed at 14 week and we thought we lost my baby but god was with us and he’s now a healthy 11month old. I had the bleed the whole pregnancy and it was the most scariest thing ever. Jodie Dancer92 Me too when I was pregnant with my son they actually told me I was miscarrying only to find out I was still pregnant days later. I carried him full term but bled the whole time and was on bed rest. He was born healthy thankfully but it was a hard time.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I wish I could just hug you right now. I am praying for this precious lil baby and you and your family as well. I will continue to pray for yall and telling the lord to put his hands on this baby and heal everything. I pray this baby will be healthy and healed. I also pray for some peace and comfort bc I can't imagine how you feel and especially just having to wait and then that is when the devil trys to put all these bad thoughts in your head. You got this! Your strong and a fighter! That doctor shouldn't have blindsided you like that and the way that he came about it as trying to say that basically you can eliminate this pregnancy. When it comes to stuff like that it's so hard for me because other people have other opinions this that and the other but even though they're saying all these things against this baby they're not the Lord they don't know. He can heal this baby from head to toe you can have this baby come out perfectly healthy. So they don't know and the way that they just like oh well you know you can terminate the pregnancy...really??.... like no you're not doing that your trust in God and you're believing in God is going to heal this baby and then everything's going to be okay and I applaud you for that because I know that has got to be so hard because you just don't really know what's going on right now. But for you to step up and be like nope I trust in the Lord my baby's going to be okay I just applaud you for that. 🤰❤🙏❤🙏

Jessica Robertson I was very upset with the doctor that delivered the news, I went back to the same practice, but saw a different doctor and it was that doctor that said we should wait to do more testing before making a big decision like that. So there is a chance a small chance, but a chance that it could be ok

I had this with my daughter. It did resolve on its own. She was born 10 weeks early but it wasn’t associated with this issue though. Im glad it resolved on its own for you too❤️ She also showed high risk for all the genetic marker test and her 20 week ultrasound they suspected Down syndrome and also a heart defect. I declined the amnio but did the blood work to check for basic genetic conditions. All came back normal but they still suspected a genetic condition and said she needed close followup for her heart. We were seen weekly from 20 weeks on for ultrasounds and they did a NTS every single week. Over an hour appointment each week. She was born without a heart condition but did have a rare genetic condition. It just wasn’t picked up on the basic genetic testing. The same measurements was what let them know something was up and they also offered termination which just really upset me. This wasn’t an option for me. The genetic condition she does have is not life threatening. Yes it does affect her but it’s nothing that lots of therapy hasn’t helped tremendously. Life is different then what it would be for a typical child but I wouldn’t change it or the world.

Growing Up Gantt I am so sorry!!!! This is heart breaking 😭😭. I don’t even know what to say. I remember that breath taking feeling I had every time I was told they couldn’t find her heart beat and I had to go verify it at the hospital. It felt like I couldn’t breath. I just can’t even imagine it actually coming true. I’m really sorry this happened to you and your baby. I am so glad that you’re talking about this and sharing this though because this happens to so many women and it seems like it’s something that we are told not to talk about. Miscarriage and still births in your instance are something to talk about. It’s still babies being born. They are still people. I’m so sorry ❤️❤️❤️

My baby had markers for down syndrome. I had an emergency c-section because of low birth weight at 30 weeks . He was born 2.2 pounds with NO down syndrome . It's hard but stay positive

My son who will be 7 in July had a cystic hygroma. I found out during my 12 week scan so followed up with a CVS. His hygroma was 8.2 growing to 10.6 before it started to resolve. His genetic testing came back clear and his further detailed anatomy scans couldn’t identify any structural issues. The pregnancy was normal, he was born at full term. When he was about 3 weeks old he was struggling to take milk and had laboured breathing. We took him to the doctor who then referred him to the hospital and he was admitted. Long story short he has a heart condition called bicuspid aortic valve. As he was growing I noticed his development was delayed particularly his speech so I had him referred (my eldest son Has autism so I suspected the same) he saw a paediatrician and agreed for him to be assessed. He was diagnosed with autism at age 3. During this time I pointed out that he had some unusual features (epicanthal folds, single palm crease, flat nasal bridge) so we saw genetics who did further extensive testing and he was diagnosed with 4q22.1 microdeletion. Other than his delays he is healthy and happy. I know of another mum who’s child had an even larger cystic hygroma and she has absolutely no issues at all and is thriving.

I have been super scared in searching certain videos and so I did tonight and came across this video. I see it was posted a long time ago. But at my 13 week ultrasound I was told my son has Cystic Hygroma. That’s what I searched for “give birth to baby with cystic Hygroma “ I wanted to watch some stories about it. I am now almost 18 weeks pregnant and I’ve had every test done to me and my unborn son a he’s completely normal and healthy. Nothing with with his genetics or chromosomes. They did the tests twice and there’s a 1/250 chance of babies getting most things and my son has 1/1000 chance of having anything wrong with him. Meaning he’s perfect in every single way. Except the cystic Hygroma which they showed me behind his neck is a blockage filling with fluid and causing swelling to occur in his neck. Now they said in most babies who are normal it goes away and takes care of itself on its own by 20 weeks gestation. But some times it doesn’t and with cystic Hygroma it’s a 10% chance baby has at surviving and at 26 weeks it’s goes up to 67% survival rate unless it’s gone. I’m so scared and nervous. I haven’t checked any other videos of yours like I said I finally searched it. I know everything there is to know about it. I read everything and then some. It’s heartbreaking…. I’m so scared right now…. I hope everything turned out god for you and baby🖤 Also my doctor who came in to talk to me never once said anything about terminating my pregnancy. I would never! They have ways of treating it. And they did say could be turners or Down syndrome but the genetics test was already done and he doesn’t have any of that and so another test was done about a week ago and I got the results that he has a 1/1000 chance of anything being wrong with him. He went passed their cut off. Which was amazing news. But we are not out of the water yet. Cause could be a heart defect and other things. I won’t know more until august 23rd. My son is growing ins schedule and his heart rate is amazing and he’s moving like crazy. So I pray it is gone by the time my next ultrasound comes….

Miriel Angelique. I’m 22 weeks now...baby girl is doing great. They measured the cystic hygroma back then and it was less than 3.0 mm which is good...my labs came back good. The check up at 20 showed there was no fluid. So there is hope. Hang in there ❤️
