Sarra, this couldn't have come at a better time. The last full length novel I released was December 2021, and I have had so much trouble finding momentum. I know I KNOW fear is setting me back. Fear of rejection, fear of getting lost in the Amazon slush pile. But I am a writer, and I don't get the same satisfaction out of doing anything else.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Oh I needed this encouragement...I also had an unplanned hiatus...I wrote and published four books from December 2020-November 2021 in a series and I was slowly gaining some momentum...then life happened....not necessarily bad stuff, but a major job change and move across the country and writing stopped...I published in April 2023...then stalled again...I have since rewritten and relaunched that book last month and have a schedule and a plan and am fine-tuning my actual strategy...my personal key words for the year are Breakthrough, Strategy and Consistency! All of this to say thank you, I needed this. I am also re-taking Publish and Thrive (I didn't finish the first time) and it seems to mean so much more right now! Thank you for always making me feel like everything is possible!

I've finally finished my first novel and, while it's now in final edits, these "project buckets" you discussed are exactly what I need. One of my goals is to take your Publish and Thrive course as soon as I'm able. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to following your Project Phoenix journey and learning as much as I can from that. Omg thank you! This strikes right to the heart of why I'm not publishing. I have zero interest in any of those tasks. Lol. Which is fine. Just means I need to hire it all out so I can just write. Or go the route of traditional publishing. Never been clearer. Thank you for breaking it down so succinctly.

💜📘 We love a long video!! I'm so happy about this deep-dive--I've been wanting more details on Project Phoenix since you first mentioned it a couple of years ago, and this was just perfect! I'm also going through a revival of my (much smaller) backlist, as I paused writing and publishing last year while pregnant and having a baby. I've gotten back into my writing, which is awesome, and now I'm focused on getting my 6-book cozy mystery series to sell! I've been focused primarily on FB ads (I really liked Matt Holmes' course) and trying to keep up with my newsletter on a monthly basis, though things are a little slow-going so far this year. Because I've got a baby, a day job, and another side business I'm trying to start up this year, I'm trying not to put too much pressure on my backlist to start selling like crazy right away. I think it'll be a long game for me, and getting a couple books published this year would help. I'm super excited to watch you revive all of your books and follow along on the journey! I'm always a fan of vlogs, but these sit-down videos are nice, too.

Publish and Thrive is amazing! I love the addition of the podcast version to the original course. I can put in my earbuds when I go to bed, listen, and reinforce what I’m learning. I took it in I think 2019 or Spring of 2020, then a chronic illness advanced and I began taking care of a family member at their home,. BUT, in those years, I was able to finish the first book ready for edits, and a very good part of the second book. This class gave me a lifeline and let me know that when I was ready to publish the tools would be there. Spoiler alert: I’m in remission (for about six weeks now) so cannot wait to advance my troops! 😃

Great video. I'm going to have to rewatch so I can take notes! I love Publish and Thrive. I've been working through it slowly after buying it a couple years ago and not touching it. I actually took that document you mentioned for meta data and ISBNs and blurbs and such, and I converted it to Notion because I've been building a HUGE Notion project tracker and I love it. I'm a huge fan of using Notion to track all the things. I probably spent too much time setting up my Notion, and I love that, now that it's set up, it made tracking everything I'm working on so much easier to track.

Dear Sarra. Regarding the Newsletter, I‘m giving a special bonus to my subscribers every quarter. Maybe, that‘s something, you can do, too. So, you don’t have to create all the extras within a short period of time. Also, giving out commented chapters with lot‘s of background information is interesting for readers. Good luck with your project phoenix. (And please ignore my spelling mistakes. I‘m not a native speaker.)

Really great strategy. ✏️🦋 You’re always so well-organized. It takes time, but I’m gradually getting things in order too. I made a book database in my Notion for my books and all their formats. I know the more books one has the tougher it can get to keep track of everything, and while being early in my author career, I thought it’ll be better than using a lot of Excel sheets, allowing me to see everything in one spot and add pretty much as much info as I want in the database. I also have a KZbin workflow to track all my videos for my channels too.

✏️Absolutely loving all the info and talk of data! I'm so excited for you as you must feel revved up and ready to get stuck in! I started your course last weekend and I felt so motivated too. I've found facebook ads to be the most cost-effective form of advertising I've ever done. Apart from word of mouth (I own a franchise tuition centre). My budget is probably tiny in comparison, but I just threw myself into it and it seemed quite straightforward. My wider network has spent a lot of money on TV ads but it just wasn't worth it! We also do a lot of google ad words. That seems to work well too. I was also looking for the 'Witches Key' link. Couldn't see it.
