My God! The part you explained about not just setting a goal and rushing towards it instead of breaking it down into steps and smaller milestones is why I have failed in everything I have ever done in my life so far at age 28. Relationship, romance, college, my job, etc. It’s makes sense why I get tired and lost motivation for so many projects like writing books. Thank you for this critical knowledge I needed to hear and be taught along with reigniting my dream to be an author.

useful information. enjoyed the post. I wrote two books, published via Amazon, absolutely no promotion at all, but still managed 25,000 (US$), and still getting monthly royalties. Fixing to release two more books. Your video was very useful, helpful. Again, much appreciated.

Wow! Thank you for this uplifting video...A 100K is my goal with 12 books. My coloring books will be in the top 5% quality wise, and marketing and self promotion is what I have done the last 30 years as a freelance illustrator...I appreciate your insights and tips, helping me to start the right way.....

VERY HELPFUL, thank you. SUGGESTION: using a very large cursor mouse pointer while showing examples makes it much easier to follow along.. Also, big colorful arrows are helpful. Thank you for sharing all that you do, you explain it very well I am following your instructions, and just published my second book!

If you are making 10k a month you are spending a minimum of 1k likely 2k if you know what your are doing. A ACOS of 35% or less is needed to be profitable. Maybe even a monthly keyword software subscription fee as well. and then the hard part... getting book reviews... LOL! It will work if you work it. There is always a way. But it is a lot of consistent work.

Thanks (sweet) Caroline for the latest vid. $100K AU is around 60,500 Euros to me that's a very nice income. Even half that would be most welcome (that's about the average wage in Spain, where I live)

This was helpful thanks I wish we could put journals in a series at least guided journals. Another way to do that is to use A+ content at the bottom with links to the other books in the series that is what I do. Do you have a tutorial on the best Ads to run as soon as you have published a low content book? So many different tutorials all giving a different strategy I'd like a simple one for low content books immediately after publishing. Do you have a tutorial for doing those ads please?

What about marketing costs, outside of Amazon? Are they relying on Amazon only to market these books or are the sellers spending $$$ to market elsewhere? Maybe you have a video on how to market these low content books, I just discovered you, very interesting.

In terms of low content books, it's pretty rare to have ads other than Amazon ads. High content books like novels do usually have some Facebook ads also.

Hi, I'm enjoying your videos and finding them useful. As a fellow Aussie it's also nice to hear the accent. I'm just starting out in the field of self-publishing and want to direct my energy to where it is most likely to have profitable results. I've invested in tools, have a good understanding of children as a teacher and I can write. I've also invested in tools like Dalle 3, Book Bolt and Mid Journey. If you were in my position what would be your first project? Each time I watch one of your videos I seem to be re-evaluating my thoughts. Yesterday it was kids' activity books for celebrations like Easter, today it's prompted keepsake journals for mothers etc. Thanks 🤪

I have published 3 children’s activity books on KDP. I want to get some verified purchase reviews. Is there any way to set the price to zero or very low for a limited number of people? I thought I would post in my towns FB page that I’m giving away my book. I’m willing to pay the KDP printing costs and even a few pennies above that as long as I can limit who and how many people buy it. Any thoughts?

In Greece if you try sth like kdp the tax authorities crush you to the point it just becomes a very expensive hobby. If you manage to survive the first 2 years you need on average to make some money, you are in jail for debt.

Exactly. Many of these self-proclaimed success cases have nothing to show in the detail that another needs to follow suit. Instead, they build up their YT audience with false hopes while your individual clicks make them more money from KZbin. We're to believe that there are all these generous, Amazon-philanthropic people producing these long videos to help us poor, undirected souls out here.
