Great tutorial! Can you do a video on increasing and decreasing while working in the round?
@lynnej.93572 жыл бұрын
I learned something called 'cro-hooking' many years ago, using a needle with a hook at each end, like the one in this video. With that stitch you pretty much always use two colours, but end up with a striped pattern, with one colour predominant on one side, and one on the other. Then, more recently, I have learned Tunisian crochet. This Tunisian in the Round is like a combination of the two. I think I'm going to have some fun with this!

Thank you for this. It helps as I’m learning how to work in the round for a sweater I want to make that’s in the round but wasn’t sure how.

Is the loop that is on your hook when you connect to the back bumps the first stitch in the round or is the first stitch in a back bump considered the first stitch?

Great video, super clear instructions! Where did you get this 9mm double ended hook? I can't find any above 6mm online, even in the Amazon links you suggested... Please recommend some if you can :)

Looks wonderful but, I'm a beginner. How can I make it using one color only? Sorry if I sound dumb 🤔🤔 Thank you for your help 😃😃
@HeartHookHome Жыл бұрын
Hi Stella! It would be done in the same way but you would use 2 balls of the same colored yarn...1 for the "forward" pass and 1 for the "reverse" pass.

Would this work with tunisian hooks that have the cables on the end? Or does it have to be the two sided hook?
@HeartHookHome4 жыл бұрын
You could use a cabled hook set. Here is more info for you: hearthookhome.com/tunisian-crochet-hooks-guide/

How confusing would it be to have the same color yarn for both passes?

There are several kinds you can buy. This link might help? hearthookhome.com/tunisian-crochet-in-the-round/? There are two hook manufacturers I am in talks with now to make these more available for everyone. Should be available soon!

Great tutorial! I have a double ended hook and want to try this out....one question....is the first round the only round you do the 'pull through one' when starting the return pass? I assume that since you always have the return yarn on the hook, white in this example, you don't need to pull through one when beginning the subsequent rounds....thanks so much!!
@HeartHookHome4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes the very first pull through of the entire piece is the only one that goes through just that one loop. The rest are all pull through two.

Can you recommend a good set of Double end hooks? The ones I keep finding are super long and I was hoping for shorter ones.

I like the Clover ones, but unfortunately they only go up to 6mm.

Can you Tunisian crochet in the round with a cable on your hook?
@HeartHookHome5 ай бұрын
Absolutely, as long as you have a hook at each end of the cable
@marietteestabrook40985 ай бұрын
@@HeartHookHome I’ve never heard of a cable with a hook on each end! It’s a tab.
