To be fair, the only work around was not to hit him and hope he would trade (which he wouldn't, probably), hoping that he would play a cheap minion to trigger effigy with, but he already saw the North Sea Kraken in his deck, so bad options eitherway in my opinion.

i wouldnt have traded in a million years. It was a giveaway effigy 100% and you just concede to value. Its like you have full board of 5 2 and you hit into guaranteed explosive trap. Madness.

I hate this new expansion. Why do they have to have to make it so that yheres only 2 kinds of decks ? I just want some good stand alone cards, which was what previous expansions did really well. You didn't need a death rattle deck for sludge belcher, or a really combo deck for brand they were just solid on their own. Now for this expansion you are either elemental or some other deck with many fewer cards.

Joe Reyes But the quests are so broken. Rogue quest destroys any slower deck, discard warlock will never be a thing, murloc shaman don't exist, and the worstpart is that they introduced almost no stand alone good cards. Like half of the cards are useless elemental cards, and the rest are just, lackluster. Very little was added to previous decks. Zoo got nothing, mage is fairly dead, handlock got literally nothing except the can't attack card. No heals, and worst of all, the biggest theme of wlemebtal, has no one playing it.

Freddie Simmons that's he thing, if there aren't any additions to zoo, then there were no good low cost neutrals. There were very few good stand alone cards, if any. All I see in latter is fucking quest rogue, they fuck any even remotely slow deck.

There are a few cards that look reasonable. Generalist cards, too. Not just stuff that fits into a quest obviously or into elementals. Given that there are 9 quests and a tribe (10 different general decks) and there are still cards that fit outside of those decks, this is pretty great. I'm going through the spoiler just on neutral cards and these are things I could see in the meta once it settles: Elise Tar Creeper (Handlock might be able to play this) Humongous razorleaf Gluttonous Ooze And maybe even Devilsaur egg, stonehill defender, glacial shard, bittertide hydra, Bright eyed scout, Golakka Crawler, and primalfin lookout in paladin. Not to mention the abundance of targets for people to try in Curator decks. People were sick of aggro and have been for like a year. It makes sense that there would be little by the way of an obviously strong neutral 1 drop.
