As for me, Ben really was the face of HS. After every expansion reveal with Ben, i searched for a compilation if his laugh. He really knew how to cheer people up. I will miss him, hope he will succeed in his future deeds. P.s. at least we still have Kripp, right?)

I mean it got to a point where when a new expansion was announced i'd be more looking forward to the reveal streams than actually playing with the new cards. Ben Brode was so much more than just a game Director. He was a premier entertainer. I don't think Blizzard could ever replace him and i don't think they should try too. If they do i think thery should just hire Brian Kibler. . .His laugh is also pretty good.

I feel community wise the Omni/stone team would be the best fit. If they were to work closer with Blizzard in future i'd not be opposed. I mean Frodan has in the past and i think continues to do a lot with Blizzard, I know Kibler also used to atleast cast events too, and Firebat and Zalae are involved in the Pro scene.

I really think that Hearthstone has set a new precedent for what the role of Game Director can mean. Ben as Director really served as the prime marketer as much as he served as one of the great creative minds behind the game. It is cool to watch someone who is obviously very comfortable with himself and also very talented succeed at such a high level. Inspirational stuff, am super sad he is going to be gone.

Completely blown away when my buddy told me, I was just shocked. JUST AT MEME VALUE, hearthstone loses SO much it's breathtaking to imagine a hearthstone without him. What has HS become over the years now? A nostalgic cash grab, where draw RNG is king, curvestone decks rule expansion after expansion after expansion so that new players can have an easy time and highroll wins allowing them to impulse buy hundreds of packs in the first month or so before they get bored. Those of us still in it after so long whine and complain but still come back for that nostalgia and fantastic visual game design that is unlike anything else. Something I once loved that was also ruined by money condensed into an extremely appealing tiny package in card form. Anyway I digress, I am trying to say that without the charm and bottomless pit of charisma that Brode was, there is so little left.... just like you said he kept the community going and without that I foresee dark times.
