I love that taunt warrior has become such a big thing now. I've been playing it since Old Gods after I got bored of Cthun, but a very much more simplified version as I'm mostly a free to play player. the biggest difference is my deck was mostly taunts with a bit of weapons, minimal amount of draw, and no clears, I relied solely on board control but did well. Most of all I had a blast with the deck and again am extremely happy to see a more refined version bring this style to popularity in a sense.

my first (and only) golden hero was shaman :) i got it during either Naxx or GvG, i don't really remember. all i remember is that shaman was the absolute worst class in the game at the time. it felt amazing getting 500 wins with it, especially since shaman was an underdog class :P

Mechs were first good in GvG - In Naxxramas, Shaman was way too good. Deathrattle deck with Undertaker + Shadow of Naxxramas back then won even more than the Paladins do today.

If you have trouble against Hadronox Druid with this deck its simple just put some Coroned Sentries on your deck( 2/6 taunt that summons three 1/1 raptors for your opponent) kill them and when he casts Witching Hour it will summon a raptor ;)

That druid was so salty. You're not allowed to be salty when your deck literally plays itself. All I saw the druid doing was matching the cost of the card with the number of mana crystals he had. Basically something my 2 year old nephew has mastered.

What also counters Cube and Paladin to a certain degree, is Control Priest. Played 17 games with it, only lost to Mage twice. But I will also try out the deck Kripp mentioning here.

I hit Legend this month with a homebrew Baku version of the deck that's far more control-oriented and runs Rush minions. I can concur that a) Taunt Warrior is a ton of fun, and b) Taunt Warrior is _really_ bad against Warlock :P

2:11 - 2:24 I think this should actually be noted. Krip abandoned his F2P accounts because they weren't fun due to Jades (And no doubt Cubelocks now). How many actual New Players don't get this luxury of just switching from a shitty new account to an account that has practically every card in the game? Hearthstone is actually going to die because of this. The power levels have gotten so strong on some decks that new players literally have a 0% chance to win, causing them to quit the game.

Matyas Penzkofer I've faced three cubelocks today with exactly this list, and won all games. Taunts stop doomguards pretty efectively and an early quest completion might force the lock to use dark pact for emergency healing instead of combo, and if you get the ooze against an early skull that can be game winning.

Hi Kripparrian, i tried your deck with some alternatives cards , missing a couple of yours. I got to rank 15...far from legend , my skill level isn't high enough, i guess. The deck seems weak against druid taunts, who killed me easily, strong indeed vs aggro 90% of time, and 50%+ vs taunt war. It struggles against control priest/ I least i won agaisnt a bunch of hunters, and that was fun !!

Cubelock losing to Baku Hunter reminds me of the good old times when I was getting constantly tilted by Face Hunters playing Handlock. Basically if I don't taunt up 2 Mountain Giants, I lose since 2 mana Owl silence Belcher was OP. Then Reno was released and Face Hunter died to make way to Aggro Shaman. And then Blizzard decided to completely oblitirate Face Hunter with those big nerfs right before the first Standard rotation.
