Dane is so good that despite the fact that I quit Hearthstone like forever ago to play shadowverse, I still can't stop watching him and his crazy decks. Also, I'm super tempted to head back to Hearthstone to try Zola but Cygames has coddled me with free packs and gold to the point that I cringe thinking about how much time and effort I'd have to put in to get the dust I need for this deck...

@gum ball Eh, Shadowverse is at least on par with Hearthstone in terms of gameplay (and honestly imo, it's better due to less high-rolling cards that can win games for more consistency) while Cygames is an infinity better game company than Blizzard will ever be. Seriously, list one time when Blizzard actually gave packs to players for anything. Oh wait, they don't. They're Bli$$ard and would never do anything that can cut down on their profits. Cygames on the other hand? Not even mentioning the 30-40+ packs you get for just starting the game (meaning you don't actually have to go around getting steamrolled with only the basic set of cards until you finally save up enough gold to buy enough packs to get the cards you need to craft a half decent deck), there are plenty of easily achievable achievements that give new players ~4-5k gold (which is about 40-50 packs). Which means new players can actually have a good deck to play with when they start (and in some cases, even 2 or 3 decks that can function in the meta). Shadowverse's devs actually care for the game while Hearthstone is just Bli$$ard's way of performing a cash grab. I'm not actually averse to spending money in games since I've spent money on Cygames (only about a hundred since I don't really need crystals too much), before I quit league in season 4 (when Rito f*cked up middlestix with the fear rework and Xerath with his f*cked up rework) I gave Rito hundreds and Nexon NA has taken thousands from me over the years, I just refuse to spend money on a company that only cares about making as much money as possible from players like Bli$$ard. tl;dr: Hearthstone and Shadowverse may be on similar levels in terms of gameplay but Bli$$ard is a greedy dev while Cygames actually knows how to keep player support.

@triopsate3 Completely agree with you- I personally don't play Shadowverse (it's something about the art style and animation that I just make it less enjoyable) but I'll never spend anything on Hearthstone. Bli$$ard even increased the EU pack prices by so much that it'll be CHEAPER to make a fully functional meta Magic the Gathering deck and update it constantly. *OUT OF REAL CARDS THAT DON'T REQUIRE INTERNET TO SEE* . Instead of staying in the meta for a full year in PayToWinStone.

That's pretty awesome. There's a risk that the Ice Block gets popped, I guess, so you could play Ironforge Rifleman for something more guaranteed. But Medivh's Valet is better in non-combo situations, and how many games are you going to survive after losing the Ice Block.

Hey Dane, have you tried any decks with Temporus yet? It does seem like a fun card to build a deck around. I think the best way to play it would be to play Temporus and Doomsayer at the same turn, then, if you survive when your two turns come, you either , go for an ancient one combo with Barnes and mirage caller, or Mimiron's Head with two cheap mechs. What do you think?

Nice game Dane! Been a fan for a while (loved going infinite with shadowcaster back in Whispers - MSOG before brann rotated), but just got around to subbing. Any shenanigans you can find with Sonya Shadowdancer? She was a day 1 craft for me and I want to break the game with her, zola, shadowcaster and of course Valeera.

Not really, you'd need either brann or zola to survive for a turn, since you can't play everything in a single turn

Those 2 always work. His doesn't work unless oppo actually kills the zola first since he can't get zola back into his hand unless it dies by the oppo's hand. It's not the biggest deal to just leave a 2-2 on the board to prevent this shenaniganry
