I'd argue that card is what makes tempo mage worth playing, or it was at one point. Either way 2 in almost necessary in any list and there's no easy replacement. You could do alright without it but nothing will fit the same role quite right. You can make a more control oriented version with cabalist's tome, polymorph and forgotten torch though maybe.

Forbidden flame is kinda ok. But I would recommend to craft one at least, if not two, depends on the list.

It really isn't You can run an okay-ish tempomage without arcane blast. Good luck playing tempo mage without fireball and frostbolt however.

asmus hoyer Precisely, you can run an okay-ish version. But there's no point in running a "just okay-ish" version of a deck when you can run a good version of another. Arcane blast is very important to the deck's ability to take the board early.

Archmage isn't a core deckpiece, he's been swaped out of a lot of versions of tempo mage. You could add another water elemental, an acolyte of pain hell you could even add a spellslinger if you feel like adding more RNG.
