To sum things up: We are in a meta where Scavenging Hyena Unleash combo is being played. Stonetusk Boar and Novice Engineer are staples of a top tier deck, in which Vanish is an acceptable choice. Priests are running Ancient Watchers, Divine Spirits and Inner Fires to good results. A deck in which half the cards are taunt minions is not a gimmick and is highly competitive. And Druids run murlocs for some reason. What year is this

TBF Taunt druid was a viable deck back in the naxx era. You would win the control matchup with ramping out your big guys before opponent had answers and won the aggro by your big guys also being taunts

In your first game, it's so easy to see how ridiculous Crackling Razormaw is. It made a 1 mana card basically trade up with a sticky 2 mana card. Terrorscale stalker also looked great with Highmane.

Infest is also pretty good, epecially with the deathrattle package (trading your giant rat then infesting 5 minions feels pretty good). There's more variance, but most beasts are at least decently-priced mid-size bodies.

I agree with your opinion about fiery bat not being great at the moment. There are so many 1/1s in the meta right now that I don't think it's as impactful as it could be. In fact, I cut all but mccaw and alleycat in my personal version. Good for you for trying the deathrattle theme. I tried to achieve it but I found I sacrificed too many good cards to ever put it in, so I opted out. But I appreciate that at least someone is trying.

I've played this deck a lot at highish ranks and cards that are good are: Direwolf alpha houndmaser rat pack (this card is amazing) one copy of zipgunner scavenging hyena plus unleash the hounds one copy of dinomancy (don't keep in opening hand and never play on turn two) grievous bite Cards that seem a little weak: ravasaur runt kindly grandmother This is just an opinion but I think these changes are good and really fun

Eh, I guess you could. It's just too low-impact really. Once you get above a certain cost, cards need to have a powerful immediate effect to be worth playing. Pure value's not enough. e.g. a 10 mana 20-20 with no text would still be shit.

This deck has been fairing well to me but I have a few questions. I unfortunately don't have bittertide hydra so I was wondering what cards that I could replace them with, preferably if is rare or lower? Currently I have 2 stranglehorn tigers as a replacement which seems to not be that bad but I just wonder what other(s) peoples recommendations would be. Lastly I luckily do have swamp king dred, but I am unsure if it's a right pick for this deck. Should I keep it or no?

so I have been climbing with my own take on midrange hunter, I found that the best combos for board clear or 20+ burst damage is running the hyena and the charge doggies. I remember seeing someone also run a cult master and tried that and found a lot of success because of either combining with charge dogs or with an already made board. I am not running the deathrattle package and am running a little bit of a budget version, but found success enough to hit rank 14 from 20 in about 2.5 hours. the issues I am dealing with are Jade druid if he pulls removal and quest rogue because balance. any thoughts or suggestions from Trump/viewers?

I feel like the only reason midrange is better than quest right now is because quest is a lot slower and takes many more turns to get full value. Carnassa at this point is basically a Hydra with a bunch of extra requirements. If the meta slows down, i think we'll see more quest hunters around. ...also i'm trying to justify the massive amount of disenchants I sacrificed to craft that quest. But it's still really fun.

Remember there was this dude, ChanmanV? He hosted podcasts and cast events, but his casting was so bad that "Sap Chanman FailFish" was the most common spam on streams featuring him. He obviously knew that was the case, but chose to ignore it and wore a mask of confidence at all times, which made it even worse. Eventually, he had an epiphany or something, gave up and stopped appearing. Trump looks more and more like him. Think about it: among the top streamers, Trump is easily, by a *huge* margin, the bottom one when it comes to understanding the game. Unlike Chanman, Trump is fun to listen to most of the time. I'll give him that. But I cannot imagine him not understanding how bad he is.
