The main reason that barrier of the wind statue is banned is because there's a deck called floowandereeze that doesn't special summon. Instead, it gets additional normal summons, and it's mostly wind. Basically, the only reason the wind one got banned is because it was way too consistent and annoying in floowandereeze. It's also because outside of floowandereze there is no good wind decks that can search barrier statue.

And also that Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty can Special Summon it from the deck at the End Phase of the turn while also giving the barrier statue targeting protection. Super relevant before Sovereignty’s ban in TCG and in the OCG until Barrier Statue was banned also.

Baronne de Fleur is not banned in the OCG. It is banned in the TCG. Also, I would recommend getting someone, who knows more about the game to explain why cards are banned to you, before the video.

I'd reccomend knowing the Banlists for the 3 major formats before even that. Especially when showing multiple cards that are banned across the 3 formats. Like, bro got robbed on the Vanity's answer and that card is UNIVERSALLY banned.

idk who help made this for you but both vanity's emptiness and wind barrier statue is banned, vanity's is actually worst since its own destruction clause means you can easily rid it when your own turn comes around after impeding the opponent on theirs wind barrier statue is banned because of an archetype called floowandereeze that can consistently search it and even give it staying power through its own boss monsters making removing it a greater endeavored then it should ever be, in fact all of the barrier statue is technically just a stone's throw away from being banned just that wind has so far been the only 1 of the barrier statues with a final nail in while the others is just waiting for their coffin lid to close cyber-stein is banned because of an combo in the old days that too easily and frequently led to otks, nowadays its still banned because of much better fusions monsters it has no business bringing out and that there would now exist a combo that would allow you to simply use its effect infinitely without paying the LP cost since its effect has no limit on how many times it can be used so you can simply just spam the board with as many monsters as you can keep summoning using its effect baronne is more of an active card to use for any deck that can synchro summon, chengying on the other hand is more of a reactive card, its has high stats due to its effect but the opponent can more easily play around it to avoid triggering its banish compare to baronne

The wind barrier statue is banned because of an arquetype that can search it and normal summon like 5 monters per turn, so getting it on the field is very easy. Also the boss monster of the archetype has battle protection for all wind winged beasts, which basically makes it very hard to out.

This video format doesn't really work when the person presenting the cards doesn't know the context or history of the cards. Just being like here's some cards, tell me which one's banned isn't very interesting without the added details for why the card was banned and why some of the seemingly extra powerful ones weren't banned. Especially when some details are wrong like Baronne de Fleur isn't banned in the OCG or Master Duel (Master Duel follows more closely to the Japanese OCG ban list), it's banned in the TCG only. Also Barrier statue of wind is banned because of Floowandereeze which is a bird deck that only normal summons and can search for winged beasts (which barrier statue of wind is) and sets up a floodgate that nothing else can play around since wind decks are pretty uncommon. The other barrier statues are much harder to search for, other than maybe the dark barrier statue for chimera which is why although they are toxic, aren't currently on any banlist.

The reason wind statue was banned (aside from not many wind type cards or archetypes) is the floo bird deck which only normal summons (each of the birds extends a normal summon) and can search for it and ends the turn on it so your opponent can't special summon. Also floo has the ability to normal summon on your opponents turn so they could wait and drop it on you on your turn as well lol. I played during the era of fiber jar and it was crazy cause it pretty much reset the game state back to first turn cause it shuffled itself back in as well.

Taking dandelion for example, just saying it does some crazy stuff doesn't really clarify on how it breaks the game enough to warrant being banned

About Extra Foolish Burial: Extra Deck Monsters can only be summoned from the GY if they were first properly summoned to the field. You can still activate effects that trigger on GY, but can't bring them back for any on field effects or stats.

I'm into Blau going into the yugituber route, but ngl maybe research deeper into why these cards are banned maybe ask some other yugitubers, or watch some old banlist videos or ycs on why some cards are banned. Since some cards are banned because not just because the card is busted in itself, sometimes its like secret tech or interactions that people find out that can be abused, like example Branded Expulsion, I will say this card sucks and is terrible in a vacuum by itself, at first nobody gave the card any attention cuz it was a horrid design and the intended use for this card was to tribute your fusion, summon a card to the opponent's field so you can use the Fallen of Albaz effect to basically super poly into a fusion card with yours and an opponents card or reset your fusion combo BUT what people did instead was use that card to summon Ra's Disciple or Artifact Scythe to the opponents side essentially locking them from playing the game. Enjoyed the video though should do more and hopefully some yugitubers collabs in future maybe? like Farfa, MBT, Cimo or DistantCoder

note dandy lion is banned because u can normal summon the dandy lion send it to grave by using a link monster then the tokens and the link monsters can make a lot of link 2s and 3s also the effect is not once per turn so anyway to revive it is instantly 3 more bodies for free the tokens cannot be tributed but they can be linked, fused, and syncroed with both baronne de fleur and chengying are generic, and can be summoned with the same materials (if you can summon one, you could summon the other as well) baronne is the better one since the negate can hit both spells, monsters and traps (it also destroys then wich is most relevant to monster effects but sometimes also relevant to the other types as well), while chengying can banish cards every turn it has quite a decent number of limitations 1 you need a way to proc the effect your self by having a 2nd card that banishes a card so he can banish or hope that your opponent doesn't read and try to destroy it so he can banish a card from your graveyard to proc his own effect 2 this effect is not a quick effect so even if you can instant speed banish a card from your opponent, if you do that when your opponent tries to remove him it's not fast enough to be responded is that way 3 although his effect can target any card on the board his effect does not negate so you cannot negate an effect with his banish you need to let your opponent resolve their effect (if it's a monster or spell) and then banish the monster on the board if he has any other relevant effect while face up on the field

You cannot summon any monster sent to the graveyard with Extra Foolish Burial since there's a rule that all extra deck monsters need to be summoned properly to be revived from the grave. The only exception is Pendulum monsters since they don't start the game in the Extra deck.

The barrier of the swordwinds card was annoying because both players couldn’t special summon. But then there was a deck that was made called flooandereeze that didn’t need to special summon. And the consistency to find the swordwinds was high so it was nearly impossible to beat when hit, immediately banned after

Wind is one of the least common types in the game and multiple decks found ways to consistently add Stormwinds to their end board. The other ones have been problematic in the past though just not anywhere near as much I doubt many people would complain to see the rest go but they never found replacement that was anywhere near as effective.

The wind barrier monster is banned because of it Floowandereeze archetype which benefits from having the opponent not special summon and by the wind attribute type which there aren't that many good cards in that type the most common good monsters are in dark and light and within that archetype it has a boss monster which protects winged beasts

So tldr on barrier statue wind There is a deck called simorg which whole gimic is special summoing wind monsters now there deck is balanced by the fact simorg monsters dont really spam the field There is another deck however that does spam the field flounder they can play through any barrier statue because they never special summon monsters and wind as a whole is a very underused element so they can spam simorg monsters to turn 1 summon a infinite loop omni negate and the statue that at the time countered every single deck except the mirror match
