Got to legend with Reno Mage. I ditched Blizzard, Soulcatcher, archmage and vendor for Mana Wyrm, Valet, Y. Brewmaster (i want to reuse Kazakus and Reno right away, not when I eventually draw them again, doesnt "create" a card, but I found it works better for me), and Conjurer (that's trading in 20 mana for 10 so speeds up the deck by lowering the curve which helps against aggro). Otherwise it's exactly the same. Lot of fun to play because of all the discover mechanics and interaction with Brann.

Just made a reno-less reno deck with only inkmaster and kazakus, and I'm feeling pretty good about the list but i haven't tested yet. It's basically an aggro deck, with main deck pyroblast for lethal with inkmaster and tempo cards.

I've had a chance to test it, and when it draws well its pretty decent, but it just needs a few more aggro cards in the right mana slots for it to work. Its not too bad as is though, you can use either a dragon version or a secrets version, not entirely sure which is better.

hey fancy seeing you here lucky, and people were talking about it but it is so slow and you need to run so many defensive cards that the only pressure you exert is idols , however by the time you start applying pressure your opponent has such a huge lead it is hard to come back you need to basically tree of life and deathwing with idols in your deck. the strategy ends up being really thin, especially since you normally need a reno style list in standard to get enough healing...

Because with two options on board there are four possible scenarios. 3 hit the 5/2, 0 face; 2 hit the 5/2, 1 face; 1 hit the 5/2, 2 face; 0 hit the 5/2, 3 face. In two of the four scenarios the Tomb pillager dies.

Not entirely sure if Inkmaster is such a must-have. I would not craft her for it, not least because Renomage is currently the weakest of the three Reno archetypes. But Inkmaster, she's great if you manage to play a 10 mana Kazakus spell with her before turn 10 and swing the game that way, but otherwise it's mostly going to be a 0 mana 5/5, which is fairly insignificant against control and too little too late against aggro if played on turn 7 or later.

She's actually great against aggro, so many times I'm on the verge of losing and a flamestrike/blizzard just isn't enough on T7, but getting that 5/5 body means you can stabilize. I really like the card, it gives you tempo options in a deck that doesn't necessarily have them otherwise.
