Just yesterday I came back to the game after a year and got the Rogue DK in the first pack. Instantly made a similar deck (with Mimic Pod and Thistle tea) and called it Valuera.

ABflanagan523 I run 1 deadly poison and an obsidion shard along with 2 undercity hucksters. No SI agents if I was going to run a SI agent I'd cut 1 of my backstabs. Hallucinations can be amazing and if I ran gadgetzan I'd keep them but there not consistent, I also run a voss to change my sprints out late game. Hallucinations and Voss don't mix since turn 4 you'll hallucinate instead of Voss given the choose

4 mana 7/7 to thin out the deck. With it getting pulled out of your deck you have a higher chance to draw the cards you want. And it is of course is a good early game card

Anti-aggro start; best way to kill Patches & Crew is with patches. He was also running Swashburglar; minor change to add a lot of early game power. It also thins out his deck; instead of drawing some trash card he had to put in to reach 30 cards, his deck is basically 29 cards because Patches is removed for free. That means he draws into his better cards sooner. Probably a few other things, these are the simplest ones.

Real answer : Why not ? Kibler already runs swashburglar, which is a great early game and late game card, and it has the pirate tag attached to it. Playing Patches thins out the deck and offers great early game pressure, while not having to play sub-par pirates for it to work.

I am certain the reason he plays Patches is _not_ to "thin out the deck." Yes, most of the time, it allows him to play a functionally 29 card deck, but that is basically inconsequential in nearly all circumstances, since there are plenty of other good cards he could play instead. And nearly a third of the time, it forces him to play an extremely weak card instead of something good. The reason he plays Patches is because a free 1/1 Charge is very strong in a number of matchups. It's just a good card.

I'm not so sure. If Big Priest gets to Druids cancerous point of more than half decks played, mages, shamans and rogues can fuck them pretty bad with sap, hex and poly. The problem is, with the new nerfs, are jade druids doomed? I'm not so sure yet.

Cascade Hellsing basically its because the sequencing of triggers. You play drakonid and THEN it checks for dragons in your hand. But it waits to check until its already been played. Valeera card trigger is being played. Hence (play drakonid>valeera card checks card played and copies it> drakonid hits board> drakonid check hand for a dragon and finds the new copy> discover) Hope that helps

Vancleef is pretty huge. If you have any of the other Leg 4 drops like Sherizan or even Voss those are acceptable. Patches and Bloodmage can be more luxury so you can find stuff to throw in.

Big priest is so incredibly powerful it is disgusting . That ultimate feeling of clearing god like minions by turn 8 and then having to deal with another wave of it from eternal servitude . Or even the mass amount of ysera cards they get is enough to keep spawning minions and board clears . Priest have gotten so much buff this -game- expansion it is literally stronger than Jade .

It is a very inconsistent deck though. for every game you see them go off they will have 3 more where they draw none of their rez spells, barnes or decent removal and will get blown up before they can get anything going. Got nothing on druid or pirate warrior in terms of win rate

No, the shadow visions turns into a copy of the last card you played, so, since the drakonid operative is a dragon, and requires a dragon in hand to be triggered, it gets triggered.

Am I the only one that hates Obsidian Statue? It can't be pained, deathed, Fireballed... and Priest has all the reanimation which makes it even more annoying. The most common pieces of removal are useless against Priest. Bleh

I agree. Maybe I'm not skilled enough to realize something I may be missing, but I think Obsidian Statue, paired with the current Priest mechanics of summoning a 5/5 from your deck, and discovering a dead minion, and then N'Zoth. I see it as one of the most absurdly bullshitty cards in the game. lifesteal, taunt, 4/9, deathrattle destroys an enemy minion. I can't think of any other card that packs as much power as this one.

The issue with Obsidian Statue is that it's basically identical to Sylvanus and why she was considered such a pain in the ass; they scramble your turn and force you into making hard decisions that totally halt all progress. If a Priest uses Shadow Essence and you have a few minions on board then you're basically forced to trade everything in. It feels like I wasted a turn and resources.

Are you really complaining about Priest? Holistically priest has been non-Tier1 for quite awhile. It's refreshing to see Priest be on top for once. Also, there's plenty of ways to play around big priest, as you just saw, and with many different classes. Just because you lose to something doesn't make it OP.
