And no, board clears doesn't work either. They are too expensive, and they'll just refill the board immediately after

The thing is, the cheapest competitive decks to build are always aggro. Pirate warrior needs only one legendary. Reno priest takes between five and six. It's really hard to go anywhere as a new FTP player without utilizing aggro decks.

im stuck on rank 20 and my only 2 legendaries are a lorewalker, that my friend got me from a pack and a millhouse that i really dont know how i got, im playing hearthston for 6 month and i have completed all the wings in karhazhan and 2 other in blackrock, im always losing to pirate warriors, jade druids, and reno mage/warlock/priest (to the meta) and i dont even close to get the crads that i need to make a real deck and climb up the ladder a bit, actually, my little brother disenchanted my moros so its pretty much sucks for me... im still playing hearthstone because its a really good and fun game, but its really hard to get some good progress, my luck on arena is not that good too, i have an average skills so im trying to get the best out of it, Kripp, you are awesome, keep uploading videos, i like your channel

Not really. It's still dominated by face aggro decks but mainly because they're the only viable decks craftable unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars. Even though legendaries are more common and you get more rewards, in general, you need to have multiple copies of multiple legendaries(and there's more of them in general) to keep up with the top meta and buying packs with crystals is more expensive than hearthstone packs. Plus, you can't grind for gold like you can in hearthstone. Once you've finished achievements, you only have the login bonus and dailies(which only give ~20-30 on average.) At least in Hearthstone, I can create multiple battlenet accounts and just focus on the cards needed for a certain deck on each account. With shadowverse, it's linked to your smartphone or steam account so it's a bit more of a pain to pull off those kind of shenanigans. Lastly, Hearthstone arena is much more rewarding for good players. I average ~5-6 wins per arena which nets me a pack, dust/rare card, and almost enough gold for another arena run. The drafting is also much more consistent with only one card per choice. In shadowverse your draft quality is much more skewed and you must get AT LEAST 3 of 5 wins(60% win rate) to break even in terms of value. With fewer games and more skewed deck quality the outcome of games is much more dependent on RNG than skill when compared to hearthstone. Shadowverse is definitely better for a casual who only wants to play maybe 20-30 minutes a day, though.

This deck is to counter pirate warrior? I play control warrior, standard, and it generally counters it every time, never lost a game vs pirate warrior with that deck. To my eyes, you didn't actually have any armour based cards, so you had no extra HP to counter all their instant burst, which is what you had a problem with. Also, the deck builds towards the late game with cards such as C'thun, when against a pirate warrior, you literally just need to survive the early and you win. All pirate warrior has is quick spammy minions and a shit ton of burst, which is completely countered by warrior cards such as bash, shield block and other small removals, of which you had nearly none of. Just keep removing until their out of cards and then you win.

If there is a counter deck to something that is 100% committed to countering it, disregarding all other match ups you will fight, I don't think you should lose. Like there should just be some tech cards like "All pirates have no effect" or "you're opponent can not equip weapons while this minion is in play" or if it's a spell " can't equip weapons for this turn". So that the 1/2 pirate doesn't get +2 attack even if there's a weapon, the other pirate doesn't cost less for the weapon's attack, or that one battlecry pirate doesn't get the weapon's attack added to her own. Serious answer Kripp.

Guilty as charged. I played pirate warrior late last night and during a match vs a mage, I went face with a southsea deckhand when there was a damaged 3/1 frost elemental on the board. I had lethal next turn with weapons in my hand. He managed to clear and permanently freeze my face with that elemental. He sat at 3 health for 3 more turns until he won the game and had I gone with the trade, I'm 100% sure he had nothing else to defend. So why did I went face? Autopilot. After 10 ish games of just instant crushing every opponent with this almost mindless aggro deck, my brain had forgotten how dangerous it can be to leave that minion on the board. I think playing this deck too much actually makes you temporarily dumber. Also yes I have no shame. F2P players gotta grind and this deck was the cheapest/most effective. Blame the game, not the players. I had 95% winrate in 20 games over the course of an hour and a half last night, minus that one mage game. You just can't match those stats with anything else.

Yeah, Even if it's good for farming gold, I'm actually welcoming the nerf to Little Shit. Not even sure it's actually strong enough of a nerf, because sometimes I never draw them and still crush the enemy easily. Pirates are simply too much tempo. You can get a 2/1 with charge, a 1/1 with charge and a 1/1 that gives you a 1/3 weapon on the board in a single turn if you go second. But I think the biggest problem right now is the super weak Midrange. You CAN make a deck that will 100% counter pirate warrior, even right now, without the nerf, but you'll lose to every single control deck in the process because to reliably counter pirate warrior you require way too many early game shut down cards, which are useless against the control decks. But if the midrange cards were strong enough that you could built a balanced deck that wins around 50% of the time against both control and aggro, things would be fine. Basically aggro is too strong and control is too strong. With the year of the mammoth, control is losing Brand, Reno, Sylvanas and Ragnaros. (Maybe more too) With Reno gone, we don't need aggro decks that reliably kill you before you can coin him out on turn 5, so perhaps we can finally see nerfs to all the problematic 1 drops across the whole game and Midrange decks will have a shot at taking down the control decks by squeezing in those last few points of damage before they can truly stabilize. It seems Reno was the problem. It pushed the power level of control decks so far beyond anything else that Blizzard was almost obligated to make broken 1 drops so F2P players like me could make cheap decks that can still compete with their 10+ Legendaries, by not allowing them to play any of them ever :D Quick honest question : Should Patches be banned?

Arena is very tempo based, and a 2/3 late game in top deck mode is worth more than a 2/2 that gains +4/+4 if theres a beast on the board. Same goes for having to play it on turn 2 to not lose tempo. The card text is situational. You're going to have to win 12 games with that card, and the situation probably only happens 3 times. The base stats are important in Arena.

Even warriors that aren't full aggro are insane. I just lost to an aggro dragon warrior who ran Alexstrasza's Champions, execute and a Drakonid Crusher. He managed to burn through two taunted jades (3/3 and then 4/4 so meh), then an Ancestral Spirit-White Eyes. Then I top decked a Storm Guardian and he burned through both of those. Fucking ridiculous. That's 3/3 Taunt on turn 6, 4/4 on turn 7, two 5/5s on turn 8, and two 10/10s on turn 9. The bastard's lucky I didn't see any healing waves.

Here's a solution for the aggro problem in Hearthstone: Aggro decks should NEVER be allowed to get >50% winrates against other current meta decks. That way aggro is incapable of climbing ladder. Warrior is such a joke of a class now in terms of how they went from being the beefy, top dogs of control and fatigue to the cheap, "coin flip mulligan wizardry" that is today's pirate warrior. Honestly one of the cooler classes of hearthstone has had it's identity destroyed by aggro. Now would it be 'fun' to play against fatigue? Well it's better than dying on turn 4 I'll tell you that.

John Johnson that's the case now. Warriors used to be the class that stacked 60+ armor in the late game and out-valued most other classes (most of the time). Now it's devolved to just "get lucky, go face". Maybe instead of a fatigue deck, since jade druid will beat fatigue warrior, there could be something more of a midrange, buff warrior that's not limited to C'thun. I just hate seeing this sort of polarization happening to one of the more 'versatile' classes in hearthstone.
