At first I understood and agreed, however on second thoughts, his logic still doesn’t follow. I agree that cards played earlier are more likely to have a greater impact on the game (this is why tempo can be a great strategy in HS, especially in Arena). However that only argues that one should play the strongest play on their turn (in Trump’s investment analogy this is like investing more (stronger play) earlier on, instead of later in life). Micro machine may get stronger each turn but because it can be killed, it does not keep growing indefinitely. If it was guaranteed to keep growing then it would be super-strong and the best play. Trump’s investment analogy should be adjusted so that the micro machine is a pot of money that (on average) makes a little bit before the market forces Trump to sell and take the small profit. The stronger (more tempo) play would be a larger pot of money which makes more money overall for whatever makes it a stronger play (it could be a stronger play for any of the following reasons: high health = stays around longer = investment hangs around in the market longer; more attack = does more damage = higher potential for growth, charge = immediate effect = instant/guaranteed return of investment...the list goes on). At the end of his quote he mentions “that’s why you should play micro machine on an uncontested board”. This might well be very true (I haven’t given it enough thought) but the reason for it is not due to the earlier investment phenomenon. I feel like Warrior unintentionally got the largest buff from all of these card removals. Their weapons are mostly common, and they show up a ridiculous amount of time now. A typical deck seems to have something in the ballpark of 5 weapons these days.

15:18 makes me despair, slam the destroyer then send minions into it and play shade. His board is still better as the 2/2 can trade into the 3/2 next and then he has developed the shade so it can grow, he also doesn't lose his ogre so cheaply. It does not matter that he would have wasted 1 mana as he basically discarded his ogre and has no card draw.

Indeed. In the past you could easily tell by the title if trump did well (part 1 or 2) or not (no number). Some people were sad that the titles themselves somewhat spoiled the general results of the arena so now Jens just always puts part 1 as well as the part 2 coming soon in the description.

The best legendary for stats is Cairne Bloodhof. You get 2x 4/5 which is 8/10 which is 18 stats for 6 mana = 3 stats for 1 mana. Deathwing has 24 stats for 10 mana = 2.4 stats for 1 mana.

Actually the best card in the game stats wise is Murloc Tinyfin (or wisp). You get a 0 mana 1/1, which is 2 stats for 0 mana. that's infinite value!

only part of it has charge since the minion on board trades its initial stats (ex. 2/2 on board, play darkspeaker, now u have a 3/6 charge and 2/2 that can't attack so that means its like a 1/4 with charge and 2/2 without charge) and it's 5 mana which isnt that good and u need a board. anyway darkspeaker is good in certain combos and its not horrible
