At 61 years old, I am purely blessed to be able to fully practice and celebrate my Craft in every nook and cranny of my home and garden. I literally have an altar in every room, and several in my gardens! I have been at this for almost 5 decades, but still enjoyed this informative video.

We are making May flower wreaths using charms, bells, flowers, & colorful ribbons. As a child, my mom would save throughout the year coffee cans (yes, I’m older). We would fill them wildflowers & water, and leave them on doorsteps of some of the older women in our community. We then would ring the doorbell & hide. It was so much fun!

I just had an idea for something to do during Beltane (or really any Wheel of the Year celebrations) that might be especially interesting for people who can't/don't want to be open about their practice. Weaving bracelets and the like! You could do them in corresponding colours and even add symbols of the season into the pattern. This also goes for other crafts obviously. I like to knit scarfs in corresponding colours during the colder seasons and I just got back into bracelet making, so this came to mind :)

Loved your 9 wood chant. Beltane is always so enchanting. My cov always makes flower crowns. I save mine from previous years and add new to it each year. We eat foods with flowers and herbs in them and dance I the moon light in white night gowns. May sound silly, but it's our tradition.

In Sweden, 30th of april is celebrated, and is called valborgamässoafton. My guess is that in english it can be called Saint Walpurga's eve. Saint Walpurga's day is 1st of may.

I actually got married on Beltane this year, we didn't get to do any other traditional Beltane things, the only fire we had was our unity candle and i wasn't able to get a May Pole together. Even so, the day has always been very special to me, now all the more so. ❤

I just got around to watching this tonight (April 29) and since we are expecting heavy rain starting later tonight and for the next couple of days I decided to go outside now. I found a grassy area near my building and stood barefoot on the grass, closed my eyes, and asked for a message. I did get a message and started to cry (not of sadness, more of comfort) and when I opened my eyes a little brown bunny was nearby looking at me. It was a very peaceful moment and I did not move until the bunny had hopped away.

Here in Sweden we celebrate ”Valborgsmässoafton” (Saint Walpurgas Eve) 30th of april. People are gathering around big bonfires near the sea and are singing in and welcoming spring. Then we also celebrate ”midsommar” (midsummer) were we dances and sing around the maypole, 20th - 26th of june. We pick flowers and make our own midsommer wresth and dress the midsummer pole. I work as a preschool teacher and the children loves to dress the pole and dance around it. They look so cute in their summer dresses with flowers in their hair.// Love and light from Sweden 🙏🏼❤️🌸🇸🇪

Your pronunciation was perfect. It is the pronunciation common to Druids and Irish, Scottish as well as Welch witches in the U.S. as well as across the pond. As an Irish, Druidic witch, it is how I pronounce it. That pronunciation is common to those of us that spell it, 'Belteine'. Hope that helps...

I made myself a non-functioning maypole two years ago that I used as altar decor that year, and since then I've been using it as seasonal home decor. I may be able to convert it to a functional one, but I'm still playing with ideas on how to do that. :) Edit: I intend to make a flower crown this year, which will likely also make its way into my yearly thing. Happy Bealtaine, everyone! Life's too busy for me over the next few days to do anything I'd like today, but that's ok. :)

Thank you for this video!❤🎉 I'm not sure how I'm going to celeberate it, but I definitely want to get creative with colorful flowers💐 And I think I'm going to incorporate flowers more into my practice in general, because of this light energy that they carry. I wish there were more opportunities for me to pick them outside, but where I live that's not really allowed, or it's not very sanitary because of the many dogs around here that pee everywhere 🙈 that's the life of a city witch lol

It’s going to be hard for me to get into the celebration of Beltane because we haven’t really had spring yet… no flowers, no green grass, no leaves on the trees, and not really warm weather. Where I live, we tend to be a month behind when it comes to spring and summer. I am new to the craft so it will take time to find a way to work with what I have.

Hello, Hearth. You might never read this, but I feel like I have to do it anyway... First of all, english is not my native tongue (I'm french), so even thought I think I'm understandable, I sometimes make weird mistakes, sorry about that. I just wanted to say thank you very much for your videos and for being who you are. I'm 43, and I'm into esoterism (to be short) since I was a little boy, but I also have some mental health issues and I often push aside the Art. But for a few months now, i feel kind of different, I feel connected again, and I have to say that you and your videos have a lot to do with it. Even when I watch a video of yours on a subject that I already know, I feel good, I like the way you talk, and I like your energy. Also, I like the respect and seriousness (??) that you have for everything and everyone. I am more invested than ever in my spirituality and in my craft, and you help me a lot with that. It feels good. So thank you again, Hearth. Take care.

In Poland 30th of April is "May's Eve" also known as "New Summer" or "Little Grove" which is all about bringing in shortly comming Summer. April is last month when in our climate we can expect frosts, we even have rhyme for that: "Kwiecień-plecień, co przeplata,/ trochę zimy, trochę lata" (April-braider, toghether it braids, a winter's and summer's strands). An then in 1st or 2nd May we have Dziady Wiosenne - celebration of ancestors and tradition. It calls for "earth-warming" with fires or cemetary candles. Interesingly we have national holidays in this days, and very much tradition and ancestors themed :). 1st and 3rd of May are free from work as Day of Workers (1st) and Constitution Day (3rd), but 2nd of May is Day of National Flag and is not free from work - but most people takes free time anyway. And this May Day(or May-Week rather) I'm going back to city I was born in. Maybe I'll have some time to make some fire on my family's land. So back to the roots it is :)

Just as an addendum, May Day began as a jab at the royals and revolves around an elected may queen, Beltane is the traditional pagan holiday. They overlap, but are actually separate holidays. I say celebrate both anyway.

I defer to any native Irish voices, but as an Irish Pagan, I would pronounce it - "Bey-al-tih-na". I know native Irish speakers dislike the "bell-tayn" pronunciation, but I think an attempt to use one of the Irish pronunciations would be appreciated. 😊 Also, a word of caution about collecting Hawthorne. Some Hawthorne trees are Fairy Trees so it would be incredibly dangerous to cut & bring inside. The other crowd are to be respected & even feared. If the Hawthorne stands alone instead of in a group or hedge, it would be best to avoid it altogether. Happy Bealtaine!!

The may pole is not necessarily a phallic symbol as much as it represents the world tree, the pole of Asherah, the pillar of Hekate, etc. I know it's commonly believed to be a phallic symbol but it kind of irks me how most people default to "it's a ween" without even mentioning the heavy association between the tree/pole/pillar and the Goddess.
