Heartland Season 18 Episode 1 Recap

The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in the season 18 trailer and the recent episodes especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons. It's a testament toTy's impact on the series, in that he still remains the topic of much fan discussion and love even though he has been missing for over 4 years.

But the thing is that they aren't erasing Ty, they acknowledge the character fairly often, however, just like in real life after the death of a loved one, the characters have to move on and continue living and I quite love the direction that they have taken with the characters since Ty's death

Really, don't believe that Graham is coming back.Becaus he isn't. I don't believe the writers care about what the people think. It's their job to try and make things interesting. When Graham/Ty was there it was interesting, he and Amber/Amy could feed off each other and the people were excited. Ty and Amy had a lot of up and downs in their relationship. Ty even stoll the show most of the time. Amy does a good job when she can feed off Ty. But on her own she's just ok. That's why most of her shows without Ty were on the boring side. She wasn't bringing out her character very well. Maybe that's do too the writers. Having Ty for the last 14 years, they could always write having a good interaction between them. Now it's like they don't know how to write for her. How many times can you lead a horse around a coral. So they keep bringing all these guys into her life to try and replace Ty. It won't work. They think by giving her a bunch of love interests, it might replace what her and Ty had. But there's been no one able to interact with her the way Ty did. With Nathan it's like he's one of her horses who she thinks she can fix. Calib does better than all of them but they don't want him and Amy back together. They want Nathan unfortunately. It won't work. Actually Lou and Nathan should get together, they have more in common they both can come together in the cattle business. Amy was to evil with Ty but it worked, that's why people are still talking about it 4 years later. With any buddy else it's just a soap opera, their all just doing it for the money. Before it ends..

@@Rick-fn2fj Graham and therefore Ty is definitely NOT coming back, the character is dead. And it wasn't about caring what fans think, Graham chose not to return after season 13 and so the show's writers had to make the tough decision to write the character out of the show permanently. They did the best they could in difficult circumstances and I think they have been doing pretty great job since, writing interesting story lines for all the characters.

This sounds like Ty isn't going to come back to Amy and Lyndy if that is the case then I will not watch Heartland anymore.

SPOILER: Ty died in the season 14 premiere so no, unfortunately the character isn't coming back

I feel lthe way! With out Ty it's doesn't seem right. That's why I look at season 1 through 13. Season 14 through 17 I can't look at it. I'm sorry but I love heartland so much I'm good from 1 through 14❤️❤️🥰

To each their own but I personally think that the show is still really really good even after season 13.
