I agree he is the grandfather I never had the wisdom and everything that he shares on the show it may be a show but the wisdom he shows and shares is very helpful I never had a grandfather or a dad growing up so the show I'm really is inspirational I don't know about anybody else but I really enjoy the show if I'm upset I watch the show it cost me now if I have something going on in my life like for instance I just lost a sister October 6th this year she hung herself😢😢😢 and I first thing I did was turn on heartland to remind me of family and how important they are and how much we need to spend time with them now because it doesn't matter what age you are how good of health you're in what any of that doesn't matter what matters is time love and family and spending as much as you can before they leave us and I've learn that really quick over this last year over all the losses I've had and my sister passing away my youngest of the four of us so I really really do need the show I need the support the positives and the focus and how Amy comes back after a loss from ty and how the other losses that the family has had over the years of like Jack's friend will and his other friends passed away from the band😢 how they have their family supporting them and helping all the time everybody pitches in to make sure everybody can get everything done for the day I like how that works with this it's the way real family should ❤ each other. I just really enjoy the show the positivity of it how it shows and shares ,guides you through a loss and the different stages of the grief process and so ON. Amy is strong for Lindy after the loss of ty. Around the time that happened my youngest son's dad had passed away from cancer and I had to explain to my 14-year-old that his father was gone so the show really did help me on how to explain how to deal and I mean yes I have counselors and therapists etc but this show is a very positive affirmational and wonderful visions of what life could be like if we choose to have it❤❤❤

Jake needs to stay he has a lot of living left to do , a lot of things to teach the family. Tim’s grown and needs to stay with and learn from Jack Amy needs to move forward , Kaleb needs to move on … if they are shutting down the show she will pick Kaleb and move away which is really not acceptable - adding new blood to the family will bring a lot of happy, drama, and life . Kaleb needs to fall in love with someone that’s been part of but not blood related !!!

Grandpa Jack is absolutely vital to Heartland. Now that Ty is gone, (and his and Amy‘s relationship went with him), Jack is the glue holding the show together. He is the central anchor point around which the family and satellite characters revolve. Jack’s wisdom has comforted me at times when I really needed it. Both my parents are now gone and of course, my grandparents. Jack’s wisdom and presence anchor the show. He is foundational.

Remember Jack’s words to Amy as months after his death she was still struggling to cope with his loss? Jack said, “What I can tell ya is, pretty soon those memories and dreams of Ty won’t haunt you anymore, be keeping you up at night. They’ll bring you comfort.” I reflect back on that scene and let those words wash over me…. a soothing reassurance that though we lose a loved one, if we lean upon God and seek His comfort, He will never leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 4:5) Jack is an irreplaceable presence.

Have watched every Season 1-17 and every episode multiple times. I adore the roles of Jack, Amy, Ty & Caleb. The loss of Ty was so tragic & painful, so when it's decided that Jack's journey on earth will end, so too the show could as well. Amy & Caleb should find their destiny's joined together for so many reasons. Heartland is a remarkable, outstanding & spectacular show. My admiration & appreciation is always & forever ❤

Lily is Ty's mom you're right and Lindy was Jack's wife and Amy and ty named Lindy after their her grandmother and that had passed that was with Jack prior to Lisa and her name is Lindy she was a famous singer in the show and is that toured with Jack and THEM when younger etc. As well as Jack married Lindy and Lindy passed away they show him remembering her buying him that truck from her first royalty check that she gets from her band thing or something like that he does a flash they do a flashback of that and so on but yes Lily is Ty's mother and Lindy is Amy's grandmother which they named their baby Lindy ,Ty and Amy's child🎉❤❤❤ I sometimes mix them up to😅

When Amy rides in the video above and the words say she’s riding Spartan. No she’s not she’s probably on Harley or Shadow. Caleb respects Amy too much to be a jerk and cross the line again. Tom was a big pain in the early days and fortunately we only see glimpses of the painful ness and Lou is an ageing teenager as she has a very self centred view of life. And hopefully they don’t kill Jack off as he has earned the right to be in that show for as long as he wants.

But, he's one of my favorite characters, so glad he's back! I was hoping they'd bring Ty back from the dead. I"m not crazy about seeing Amy move on with whoever that other guy is; but, she deserves happiness, so if they aren't reviving Ty...Also, Tim is one of my favorites. He gets too much flack. Lastly, I can understand if Shaun Johnson might be tired of playing Jack. But, he's such a great character. That would be heartbreaking. Now, when can I see the next season on Netflix? I've been waiting all this time! Oh, one last thing. I really like the development in the character of Katie. She's a lot more interesting than I thought she'd be. Love her!
