Reading a Stephen King book in a brand new house sounds risky; I'm surprised the house didn't whisper 'Get Out." ;)

I reread this and did a review of this in January. I think this is one of King's most underrated works and I was so glad I chose it for a reread. I loved the Dark Tower tie-ins and I found that the second novella was one of the most powerful things I've read that showed what it must have felt like living through the '60s. A great work!

11/10 for me. Man I went in not knowing what to expect. I love love love oldies and coming of age stories. Imagine my excitement to see all that in the book? I listened to the songs as they came up in the book on Spotify. The ending did make me cry, I miss my friends.

This audiobook is one of the best I have ever listen to. William Hurt did really well with the tone of the book

Man, Hearts in Atlantis is one of King's best, imo. That first section straight *wrecked* my heart. I think it's definitely one of King's more "literary" works. Loved it! :)

Great review! My favorite Stephen King book. The second story brings me back to my college days living in the dorms.

Brian Thank you for your review of the novel I LOVE LOVE ! I really enjoy the first storey of Bobby, his friends and the creepiness where it all start. The ending, your so right is absolutely fabulous!! It did bring a tear to my eye. Fun fact- "Heavenly Shades of nights are falling" is the opening line of the great 60's song by The Platters- "Twilight Time". Stephen King's knod to a great song of his youth. Thanks for the review👍

@BRIAN LEE DURFEE Reviews I am working on my debut novel, "LOST SOUL", inspired by H.G. Wells' THE ISLAND OF DOCTOR MOREAU. Hope you get to review it when it's out!
