Finished it about an hour ago. Still enjoyed Later much much more than this, but still...it's rather amazing he's still this sharp with his storytelling at this stage of his career.

What a trip! Usual mix of great Stephen King characters, plus a masterful blend of morality, love, friendship, betrayal, heartfelt moments, and excellent insights into writing & creative process. AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some shiny callbacks for Constant Readers. Loved it!

I’m a little hesitant with this one. It just sounds so familiar and used. A hitman who kills only bad people has been the theme of a lot of books. I read Later a few weeks ago and I had such a hard time because it was so similar to a sixth sense. I’ll give it a shot though.

It seems like Stephen King has been putting out more crime thrillers recently and this book seems to keep to that. Great review.

Billy's intended victim isn't "coming out of a courthouse." Instead, he's arriving at the courthouse.

I kinda explained in the video that i read 100pgs an hour and the book is 500 pages. I started reading it about 5pm and finished about 10pm so 5 hours.

Well, I think I'll wait for the paperback to come out them. It doesn't sound too interesting, other than Stephen King wrote it and it mentions some things of past novels of his.

This book sounds incredible. I abandoned King years ago because his books are generally too long and have shitty endings but I think your review has me willing to revisit. It sounds like his earlier work.
@markymarkzero3 жыл бұрын
It sounds nothing like his earlier work. His early work is what gave him the reputation for having shitty endings, and is entirely supernatural.

While for me the ending did drag on for a bit, it did so for a reason.

I've generally been shying away from a lot of King's recent work, but this sounds intriguing. May have to pick it up once it comes out in paperback.

Big disappointment. Not that good. King is WAY over rated.
