Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. There is also a juicy exploit for limited self government yugoslavia If france goes little entente and completes the “invest in our weaker allies” focus then EVERY member of the little entente gets 2 mills and 1 civ (including bosnia croatia slovakia etc etc) After that you can do the “reunite the kingdoms” focus and you have almost the same amount of factories as france

This was patched as of 1.10.2 - Yugoslavia should no longer lose national spirits on a civil war - Yugoslavia can no longer gain cores on the entirety of Europe

Yep, I just did a run-through. It's true that Yugoslavia doesn't lose the national spirits with the civil war, but as soon as you release Croatia as a puppet their spirit disappears anyway. Also, when you re-unite the kingdoms you no longer get Greece or Romania. You still get all of the cores of the yugoslav states, plus Bulgaria and Hungary. The one thing you do get is cores on the Transylvanian states, so if you have Romania as a puppet and re-annex them by driving down their independence, you get those cores back. The alternative is to wait until Hungary takes them from Romania, but by that time they'll probably be in the axis. Also, Greece now starts out guaranteed by Romania. Between that, and the fact that you no longer get any Greek cores, there's no real need to waste the time/energy going after them early in the game. Of course you can if you want to.

The problem of releasing the one nation states in the short term is that they do industrial effort as their last focus. The generic focus tree has this coded in for any country with less than two states. The reason that they did it is for the countries that get eaten like Luxembourg and what used to be Albania which now has two states.

I didn't know Death or Dishonor was such a controversial DLC. Its my favorite DLC because it gave Romania and Hungary trees, and those trees were my favorite trees to use in the game until La Resistance when the French Guarantees complicated things

Hi Feedbackgaming i tried it and it work. I even tried and beat germany and italy by luck and after many MANY tries and puppet them before “A United Kingdom” and i had 220 military factory doing nothing after i annexed them all great exploit

I tried this method yesterday, but in my case I puppeted that tiny lump of Czech lands tho it looks gruesome then I do the Reunite the Kingdom focus the results are good and you get free core on all Czech states

Before you even puppeted bulgaria I knew what you were doing. All I knew of Yugo was the single focus in dev diary "united yugoslav kingdom something".

Does the "Reunite the Kingdoms" focus apply to all puppets or was it only all of them because you took certain ones? (For example, if you had puppeted Turkey and/or Germany before taking the focus would you have gained cores on them as well?) If that is the case, then I'd like to see a strategy where you take Albania before taking "Reunite the Kingdoms" focus for a nice simple border. Nice video! Another entertaining strategy would be managing to puppet part of China or India before taking the focus lol. Maximum manpower.

Dave u can core all of Europe. Or anywhere as long as there capital is in Europe. So if u do it right u could get turkey,India and if you some how beat the imperial fed. Then u can get all of there cores

In my opinion you should of puppets Czechoslovakia when you took over Hungary so you get the Czechoslovak core's, but it is just my opinion

If you want to exploit it more I believe you can leave axis faction, then take kid king or join axis focus though back down. Doing so allows you to swap from fascists and join allies. You could then eat more land before allies kick you.

I found this bug 12 days ago, after I conquered Bulgaria and pupated it I noticed the focus will annex Bulgaria also. I was not sure it is a nice feature because the Bulgarians also Slavic people or a bug, so I made puppet states in the USSR and France and it's colonies. I instantly got 12M manpower. I guess every nation loves adidas tracksuits :D
