Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. The war with Chile was probably due to them saying we'll disarm so they accept it, but then not doing also give the signatories a casus belli. That's why Japan and Italy declared war to the Chile, because they accepted the disarmament and then said yoink, so Japan said "We've Been Tricked, We've Been Backstabbed and We've Been Quite Possibly, Bamboozled" then "Banzai"

You made a mistake: Use the Decision "Pan-American Government" i think its called, that gives the USA to Canada, and cores it for them. Then when you do the imperial federation you get cores on everything canada owns... so the USA included :D

One if the easiest things to do is win and establish Imperial federation BY 1940, after that you are so powerfull that nobody Can touch you, first ir all cores on all North America, and dickyards around 70 after that, the world is your oyster

Kenhel I think I’d prefer that to the Middle East. Deserts suck and Brazil’s would have some cool wildlife. Also I bet Portuguese is an easier language to learn so you could probably have better conversations when interacting with the citizens there. I am of course assuming that the proper vaccinations/antidotes/giant snake repel kit is part of the standard equipment.

The German peace conference reminds me of one time when I made a collaboration government in Germany but some genius puppeted them in Königsberg, and for some reason, Hitler was still in charge. Also, since Austria was liberated, they decided to rejoin Germany (the one in Königsberg). I hope Paradox improves how peace conferences are done.

If you assign planes more then one mission, they will only do the first one you assigned. At least that's what hoi4 wiki said. So if you want to do different missions (for ex. Air superiority and Intercepting, you need to assign them one order, one to air superiority and the secod one to intercept and you need to do this separatly)

Hey Dave! I am enjoying your take the USA early vids. I did the Japanese one the other day, lots of fun. I think you might be able to pulo it off with falangist Spain too. They have a focus where they can pupet several caribbean countries, so you could theoretically rush it with your fast civil war, and invade from there. But I'm unsure if it'll be posible, you certainly do it much later than Britain here and Japan in the other vid. Remember that with the falangist you have to deal with the carlist uprising after you finish off the republicans, and the civil war doesn't count as over until they are done too. My advice would be to rush the focus to activate the carlist as sooner as possible. You need to go through a few focus before you can do all that, but that should also allow you to build up your army too. Thing is, once the USA is out of the way, you have war focus on all America, which should be free pickings. I recommend investing in MP support early so you're ready to deal with it. I'd like to see you trying and perfecting that strategy :D

I know why you have a war goal against Chile. Because if they disarm, they get an "events timeout" thing where in a certain amount of days, if they never disarmed their fleet, Japan, Italy, USA, UK, and France get a free war goal.

You could wait on doing focus's to go down the non aligned path, then do the dominion or north america and then do the imperial federation to get cores on all of the US

I annexed the US on september 5th 1936 this way. Only had to share the victory with Canada. Brazil never got the chance to naval invade, as my navy took care of that.

When a AI country doesn't disarm or start to disarm with that mission up, other Great Powers will also send warnings as well if they are in the London Treaty and if say Chile doesn't abide by their warnings, they get the war goals. It's pretty funny to be honest that other members of the Treaty can get free wargoals like that.

You can get cores on the US if you go Monarchist. You get a decision to turn the US over to Canada and they get cores on the US. Then when you form the federation you also get cores on the US.

If country that warned by you fails to decrease naval armaments or have/produced illegal ships, countries that is joined in naval treaties will get wargoal. That is why Japan/Italy decalres war on Chile LOL

As an American I actually found this rather interesting. It just shows how weak we really were back before WWII. However it also is rather hard to invade the US by sea, in reality, however it would still be rather easy back then. One way to ignore that is just kicking them from Canada or Mexico. Good choice if it were reality, bad choice still if it were reality, can't stop our spirit to rebel. Edit: Overall good video, keep up the nice work.
