When I first saw a strawberry begonia I fell in love with it. I bought a really sad looking one from Rona in the hopes of getting her to a healthier state. It's only been a couple of weeks. I potted her a few days after taking her home but seeing your other videos I now realize I should have waited a bit. I check her every day for new growth. I can't wait for her to get big and produce babies! By the way I love your videos! Thanks for the information sharing!

I found a totally dead plant at Walmart (it froze because they don’t have the heat on) and asked one of the employees if I can take the only living baby off of it and they didn’t care because the plant was already written off. Tiny little thing is already rooted and doing well ☺️ glad I could save even a little piece of what was once a beautiful plant.

I just found a *massive* one for $20 at walmart. Not bad shape either. Upon closer inspection ive noticed some baby mealies but were treating and she’s gonna thrive! She has many babies!

How were you applying the insecticidal treatments? When I applied neem oil, the leaves suffered badly.

My strawberry begonia has mealybugs. I have been wiping them off with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol every week for a couple of months but they just keep coming back. I’m worried to spray alcohol on the plant because I’ve heard that hairy plants don’t like to be wet. It is getting pretty desperate because the new growth is all stunted (tiny stems and minuscule leaves) so I have to do something or loose her. Did you spray your whole plant top and bottom of leaves and stems?

I love love love your clif notes in the video! And imposing your WILL for it to make babies. That's awesome. I may have missed it, but about how long do you wait before you water the plant? Is it like a week, two weeks, month, etc?
@kathleenmurphy23794 жыл бұрын
She said if you have a water meter let it get to the red but not the bottom of the red on the meter. It must be a lot like most begonias even though it's not a begonia they don't like to stay evenly moist. I think that's the problem with mine I haven't been letting it get dry

How do you propagate them? Can you propagate through a leaf ? Thank you!

Just from the local Walmart in the hanging supplies section 💯❤️

1) I miss Editing Rachel. LOL I have watched all of your videos, but came back to this one because of my recent Strawberry Begonia purchase ... 2) I got my Strawberry Begonia from Walmart almost 2 weeks ago and I am pretty sure this little pest it came home with is thrips. Pretty sure I got most of them, but I could have cried. I also had to trim a BUNCH of dead leaves and junk off it. It was also SUPER soggy...

Have you got your babies yet? Just got a tiny one of these (2" pot) via mail order a few weeks ago and now it's sending out streamers like nobody's business. A couple have already sprouted their little babies on the ends - so cool! Looking forward to Spring so I can up-size the pot and fill in with the baby plants. :)

F to pay respects to the poor begonia plant when you got it. Dood I lost a lemon tree I'd had for like five years to scale bugs. Too much winter blues for me to notice until it was too late.

I must say .... I've been using The Royal "We" for years now. I explain to people all the time. It's me, the royal "We"! I often say "we" are on the way and when I show up alone, it's confusing to some people. I love it! ✌🏻🩵💨
