@qwaabza Жыл бұрын
yooooooo same?! this was the first video about heartstopper i ever watched, i didn't know what was going on but i loved it, then i moved on to crack videos and compilation videos, so i knew what was going on but still couldn't place all the events in order, and then, i practically watched the whole thing because someone uploaded it in tiny clips in a yt playlist (probs not legal, but i don't have netflix😅). with this, i could place everything in order, and even learned some extra sub-plots that no one really put in their comps. and to complete my learning arc, i read the whole comic series in about two days on webtoon. so yea, it took about a week and some not so ethical techniques to learn and watch the entirety of heartstopper :) bonus fact: when i watched this video for the very first time, the whole time i was like, "WHY DIDNT THEY JUST CONFESS AND KISS SOONER, COME ON YOU BOTH KNOW YOU ARE IN LOVE" but now, that thought is totally washed away as i understand the slow burn. bonus bonus fact: this process was practically identical when i did this with young royals, and when i watched the very very first video of that, i even thought the same as my bonus fact, amazingly. bonus bonus bonus fact: today, i got three hours of sleep, woke up at 3am to go to the airport, flight got canceled so we had to wait on the stand- by lists (stand-by seats are the seats that people have booked, but not come to, so they can be filled by someone who didn't book a seat). we were close, but never made it on, and some of the flights got endlessly delayed or just straight up canceled. at least i had my phone, headphones, and there was wifi, so i could just go on yt. in the end, we just dove home in shame and tired-ness. i'm writing this bonus bonus bonus fact from home now, but i gtg to sleep or something. bye, random person :D tl; dr i agree, same, i am tired EDIT, a month later (aug 12). hello, i have sorta fallen from the heartstopper and young royals fandoms, and am now firmly enjoying good omens. season two came out july 27, and it was EPIC, and SO QUEER. anyways, bye? ye bye.

@@EverAppl14 but......Dave never said anything that wasn't true tho???? You can't ask to be treated like everyone else and in the same breath expect to be exempt from criticism or being made fun of. That's not how equality works. People getting so pissed off about what Dave said only proved that what he said was true. Truth is not bigotry.
@EverAppl142 жыл бұрын
@@izzieb.2926 That is how equality works, actually. In order to stop persecuting oppressed groups, you have to take comedy at their expense off the table. Comedy at the expense of oppressed demographics is known as "punching down", and it's generally bad form and frowned upon, despite being a penchant of the 80's and 90's comedy scenes. Any seasoned comic knows the difference between punching up and punching down. Dave Chapelle continues to make jokes at the expense of trans people, while claiming to have been good friends with a trans person. He then used that person's death to accuse the LGBTQ community of bullying her for supporting him, which is patently false. She was never bullied on Twitter by the queer community for her support of Dave. He also misrepresented the timeline of their interactions and her death to make it seem like other queer people had a hand in her suicide. People have done the research and have all the screen shots proving that what he said was a gross, targeted exaggeration. Accusing the queer community of attacking someone they didn't attack in order to make himself look more like the victim of cancellation culture is wrong, whether you think his comedy is a-ok or whatever else. He knew he was further demonizing an oppressed community with his actions and lighting a fire under many of his more bigoted fans, and he did it anyway. Keep in mind, if he really felt he was being persecuted for his jokes, then he could just stop exploiting that ONE subject for laughs and criticisms would stop. He specifically made a statement that he was going to stop, actually, and then within days of doing so, he made like 3-4 more public jokes about trans people. That's worse than simply reusing old material again and again or refusing to evolve with his audience. He abandoned his own integrity when he went back on his own words within mere days.

I have no point of reference for these characters or plotlines but somehow the Mulaney bits actually give context to what's going on. Sometimes they're so direct and sometimes more oblique commentary, great work.

I would love if you released this video again but just the John Mulaney parts to see if we can still get the storyline

Oh my god this literally combines two of my favourite things into one video. Thankyou so much
This has become my new favourite video of Heartstopper on the entire internet. The effort you put into this is amazing, and it had be cracking up for ages, even when I finished watching. 💕

this was amazing. I just have to say another connection was when Isaac comes in to ask if they need any antiseptic wipes he could have came in and then had the voice over of "I made a salad with crazins."

Dude this is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while!! As someone who loves both this is pure heaven for me 😌 P.S. Thank you for the disclaimer and pinned comment, John is lowkey making it very hard to be a fan of him (I took a break from him when the first scandal went down)
