10:00 i really love this part. Whenever a friend has come out to me, whether it’s gay or non-binary or something else, I’ve asked them if they want me to not mention it or acknowledge it around other people. Sometimes they say to not tell anyone and it’s great to ask because sometimes someone might be too embarrassed to ask you to keep it a secret. Just because someone comes out to you, doesn’t mean they’re willing to be out to everyone.

Nick's dad reminds me of my own, but instead of living in another country he lives a few streets away and couldn't be bothered to see me twice a year. And the way Nick is about keeping his friends even when they were diques and loving Charlie, reminds me of myself and how I cling onto any love I get. Bc between the daddy issues and the middle child syndrome, it's sjsjsj And it's crazy bc while you're the one with the issues, these fathers walk around thinking they deserve to be called your dad. Shout out to Olivia Coleman and my mommy!

As someone who is Aro/ace I’m glad i learnt what it was at a younger age, there was a while in secondary school where i said “oh yeah I’m a lesbian” because romance is such a big part of school and i felt like it had to be part of my life too (since i had a ‘crush’ that wasn’t actually a crush) then i didn’t use any label for a while and finally was just realised that i wasn’t having any actual romantic/sexual feelings was probably because i was Aro/ace, you know that does make sense if you think about it lol
