Thank you for being vulnerable for those facing the same thing so many people deal with every minute of every day. I love Paramore soo much they are so close to my heart and every lyric Hayley writes is straight therapy for me. I just got my first tattoo and it is the paramore brand new eyes album cover and I find that album from start to finish where you find this song just beautiful and as you listen you learn that to get through the tough times you have to see life through brand new eyes to get where you deserve to be. A few years ago I went through a break-up that wrecked me. I couldn't eat for 3-4 days, and even after that I had a very week stomach for weeks. I had nightly panic attacks and had to go on anxiety medication. Now here I am 3 years later. I've been able to get off my medication, I still have struggles with anxiety but I feel better equipped to handle them. I'm learning to take care of myself and focus on my own growth. I have a better job and have reached a level of financial stability I would have only dreamed of a few years ago. I've been writing a song that essentially says, "Thank you for breaking my heart, because I'm stronger now." I know for a fact that the experience has made me a better friend and son, and will one day make me a better husband and father. Much love to Taylor and the crew at HeartSupport.

Sometimes I wish I could allow myself to cry again, but 25 years of parental neglect and bullying has stunted my emotions pretty badly, but it's still nice to see people being sad and letting their emotions out, some day I will be able to do that too, someday. I can relate to you in that I have had seasons of depression when I just feel numb to everything and have no desire to laugh, to cry, to feel anything - and even when something happens that I would normally cry over (putting our 16 year old cat down for instance) I am just indifferent and know I should be sad and cry but just don't feel it and sort of fake it because I know that is what is expected. I am glad you have an outlet in music, movies, and gaming - sometimes those can be just the thing you need to keep going, to feel something, or to just have some enjoyment in your day. I'm sorry to hear that you went through so many years of neglect and abuse. Hurt people hurt people and no parent should ever pass along that hurt to their children but some just aren't equipped enough to have the capacity to get help themselves to make the lives of the ones they are supposed to nurture and unconditionally love any better. Definitely not making excuses for your parents, what they did was awful - but I hope you can break that cycle and love yourself, love others, and I know someday you will laugh, cry, dance, and feel the full spectrum of human emotions. Not sure why this came to mind, but a movie that I recently just bawled over at the end was The Whale. Probably because I am the father of 2 daughters, and movies that have a strong father/daughter storyline that like one or Interstellar always get me pretty emotional at the end. Maybe give it a watch and see if you feel something at the end...

In the past 3 years, I've lost my youngest sister to cancer, discovered that I'm autistic, my wife spread lies and destroyed my reputation and community, then she divorced me, and I haven't seen my daughters in a year. Through therapy, prayer, and grace, I'm making my way through, though not on my own strength. In all this, I've learned that human emotion is complicated, and that it's ok to feel grief and joy at the same time, confidence and fear, peace and anxiety, anger and compassion. And it brings me comfort to know my God feels these right along with me without judgment. I pray that you will feel His comfort as well.

A broken heart unfortunately happens to everyone. You are a very young woman and you will rebound. As the months/years go by, you will meet the right person. When you meet that person, you will know. Stay strong, move on, and don’t give up. it may seem like the end of the world because you are so young but take it from me, you will be absolutely fine. you should react to Romanticide, live, by Nightwish from their 2013 Wacken performance. it's a breakup song about love lost, but it's more... empowering, I think. Floor Jansen, arguably the greatest singer of our time, knocks this out of the park, but their bassist Marko jumps in after the bridge to give the male's side of things, and after a bit of back and forth in the lyrics, they do a run together all the way up the scale, as if a couple was screaming at each other in song. it's a powerful moment, a beautiful song, and Floor... Honestly their first three albums are so good they deserve a listen and definitely a video for the hits like the ones I mentioned. There's not a moment that goes by, that I don't miss her, with all my heart and soul. I've come a ways alone, but these movies, this song. It sucks. It just really fucking sucks. Man, I wish I had a place like this when I was going through a breakup at the end of 2020. Spent the better part of a year trying to pull myself out of it, feeling completely alone (amid the pandemic), and thinking it could never get better. The hardest part of it all was the fact that it was a long distance relationship and that my ex ended it via text without even the slightest warning that anything was amiss and refused to have a discussion about it, so I was left to agonize over what might have been the cause. It was infinitely harder than when my marriage of 12 years ended because my ex-wife cheated on me and said she didn't want to be married anymore, because at least there was a reason I could process. But, I got through, I met someone incredible who is a communicator, and I can now see how unhealthy the previous relationship really was. All this to say, no matter how bad it feels and how much you are sure it will never heal and find happiness again, it does get better with time. It's awful and it sucks, but it is not forever.

"Running" is also a great one and can be interpreted multiple ways, the last 2 times i have seen him live, he mentions that running is his favorite song. I just wanna know is a fantastic one as well!
