The Vervet Forest is a wildlife documentary focused on the lives of the monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation in South Africa . We join the orphaned and injured vervet monkeys in their adventure and struggles as they battle their way through the foster monkey mom program to become part of a monkey troop again. So refreshing from all the abused helpless captives presented like circus performers. Many ate do frightened, nervous wrecks. Te😊ll us what we can do to help make things at least a little better. Today in America we celebrate Thanksgiving day, giving thanks to God for all he has provided through the year. One thing I give thanks for is God caring for providing the VMF to care for his monkeys. I’ve asked that my Christmas presents be donations to your fight for all these beautiful little primates. The scratching is just a nervous tic. Virtually all species of primate do that when they’re anxious or not sure of something. In Atlas’ case it’s probably just because he hasn’t found his confidence yet. It’s pretty common with infant monkeys, especially those who’ve been orphaned as they don’t have the reassurance of their natural mother. But soon as they get foster moms the nervous tic like scratching and such usually clear up within a week or two. So yeah, nothing to worry about. 😊🐒

The Vervet videos are truly wonderful, well filmed and the monkeys are so adorable. It would be so nice, however, in my opinion, if the girls/women would not use UPSPEAK/UPTALK. It is very distracting and annoying to hear as we watch these excellent films. Thank you so much for sharing the lives of these precious animals.
